Pillsbury All claims and rights reserved by me and Sony Permission to Archive All comments welcomed Judy Lieberman and Sherri Horun are the Baby winners The summer has made its presence known over Toronto. The sun shone lighting up the deep blue clear sky, birds of various colors flying overhead, pastel flowers filled the meadows and green grass as far as the eye can see. The green leaves rustled in the trees from the breeze blowing by, taking the edge off the humidity. The sunlight shined through the blinds in LaCroix and Jamie's bedroom, rolling up the blankets then into his eyes. He crinkled his nose closing his eyes tighter snd rolled away. He slowly woke, stretching his body and turned slightly, gazing upon his sleeping wives very swollen belly. He gently placed his hand on her belly, massaging it then suddenly the baby kicked and Jamie moaned softly from the movement. She opened her eyes gazing upon his loving smile and the sparkle in his eyes. "Morning, Love," LaCroix said. "Morning, sweetheart," Jamie said, warmly. "What are you doing?" "Daydreaming about our child," LaCroix told her. "A few more days, are you ready?" Jamie inquired. "Yes; we pick up the van tomorrow and the spare bedroom is now the nursery, completely filled." LaCroix answered. "Great, help me up, I need to go." Jamie requested. "On my way, M'Lady," LaCroix said. LaCroix quickly crawled out of bed walking around to Jamie and took both of her hands. He carefully helped her out of bed. She walked into the bathroom, rather fast, while LaCroix made the bed and waited for his turn. Jamie emerged from the bathroom holding her belly, breathing hard and uttered Lacroix's name. He ran towards her sitting her down and rubbed her thighs. "Honey, what is it?" Lacroix asked, concerned. "OW, it's starting," Jamie, moaned. "All right, remember the breathing exercise, look at me, its okay." LaCroix said, calmly. About two minutes later, Jamie exhaled hard, "Thank you, that was, whoa," "You all right?" Lacroix asked, scared. "Yes, it means time is close," Jamie told him. "I'll tell Scott to take over at the club; we need to be together." LaCroix replied. "How about a shower?" "Great," Jamie replied, slowly relaxing. "Give me two minutes then join me," LaCroix suggested. "Good, massage time," Jamie replied. "Only if you're up to it," LaCroix told her. Jamie laughed, "Are you?" "For you, always," LaCroix said, laughing. "All right, stay here." LaCroix stood up walking into the bathroom taking care of his personal business, started the showr and walked over towards Jamie escorting her into the bathroom then the shower. There they cleaned and loved each other, feeling excited that Jamie's labor has begun. They finished their shower, getting dressed and prepared Jamie's things for her hospital stay and called Nick informing him of the situation. Upstairs Nick had hung up the phone and rejoined Molly sitting on the couch, snuggled up with her tea and honey. He lovingly leaned over kissing her cheek and smiled. She could see that boyish, devilish grin and inhaled slightly nervous. "What's going on; what's that look for?" Molly questioned. "I love you and..." Nick replied. "And?" Molly inquired further. "Jamie started her labor a few minutes ago." Nick said, happily. "Fantastic!" Molly said, ecstatic. "Yeah; so they're staying here until the baby arrives, do you mind?" Nick queried. "Love it," Molly answered. LaCroix and Jamie slid the door open entering the loft and Nick walked over towards the door to greet them. They escorted Jamie to the couch and sat her down with her feet up and Nick walked into the kitchen fixing her some tea then returned handing it to LaCroix. Suddenly, Jamie reached out grabbing LaCroix's knee, and he placed the tea down onto the coffee table. He began to breathe with her rubbing her belly while Nick and Molly watched in amazement. "It's all right; I'm here; relax," LaCroix whispered. "OW, Lucien," Jamie moaned. "Relax; don't tense; breathe deep," LaCroix told her. "It's fading," Jamie whispered, exhaling. "Good," LaCroix said. Jamie let out a lound moan exhaling and placed her hand on top of his, "Thank you," "My pleasure; how do you feel now?" LaCroix asked. "Tired," Jamie answered. "No doubt; here's your tea," LaCroix said. "We are in labor; I will do whatever I can to ease it." "I love you." Jamie said, relaxing. "Love you, too." LaCroix replied, standing up, kissing her. "Nicholas, a moment, please," "Sure, Molly?" Nick queried. "Go ahead, we're fine; so far," Molly replied, smiling. Nick leaned over kissing Molly then escorted LaCroix into the kitchen and sat down at the table, drinking their coffee. Nick could sense LaCroix's nerves were shaken and tense. "Lucien," Nick uttered. "Nicholas; I'm actually..." he started to say. Nick laughed lightly, "I'm sure; its here, the really of human life as I will be when it's Molly's time." "I know, and..." LaCroix said. "We're here to help, don't worry." Nick said, squeezing his forearm. "I called Scott then Doc; he said time them and watch her." LaCroix told him. "I'll have Carla come by to help take the load off." Nick said. Suddenly, a knock on the door with Paul and Carla walking in, "Hey, people," "Hey, Paul; Carla," Nick replied, standing up to greet them with LaCroix at his side. "What's going on?" Paul asked. "It's Jamie's time; her labor started this morning." LaCroix told them. "Yay, baby time," Paul shouted, happily. "Carla, could you...?" Nick inquired. "I'll stay here and help." Carla said. "Great, in case we're out or..." Nick started to explain when his cell phone rang, "Knight," "Hey, Nick; anything at home?" Reese asked. "Jamie's in early labor; Molly's fine, so far," Nick answered, hesitating. "Why?" "We have a body at the Edison alley," Reese told him. "Okay, we're on our way." Nick replied, reluctantly. "Keep me posted with the baby." Reese requested. "Yes, Cap." Nick said, hanging up. "What's up, partner?" Paul inquired, concerned. "Outside; got to go. Sweetheart, my phone is always on. Lucien, call me, keep me posted." Nick requested. "I will, safe journey." LaCroix replied. "Love you, darling," Molly said, warmly. "Love you, too, Babe." Nick said, kissing her passionately. "Let's go, Paul." They quickly exited the loft riding downward then outside and climbed into the car. Nick started the car, briefing him on what Reese informed him of and backed out heading for the alley. They could see the blue lights flashing, crowds of people and, of course, the media struggling to catch the scene. Nick saw Mark, an officer, waving him in and he followed his directions away from the reporters. They exited the car meeting up with Reese at the edge of the alley. "Hey, Cap; Kathy," Nick said, greeting them. "What's all that about?" "Sadly, word got out and they want to see the body." Reese said, sighing. "Why?" Paul inquired, puzzled. "The witness yelled out it was a vampire." Kathy told him. "What?" Paul queried, scoffing at the idea. "Come on, put these on and follow me in, watch your step." Kathy rquested. "Lead on," Nick uttered, slightly nervous, glancing over at Paul. They followed Kathy into the narrow alley, damp and musty, a dumpster to their left and lying in the middle of the alley was a male body. The body appeared pale, skin slightly white and flaky and blue lips. They knelt down examining the body and Kathy observed her surroundings. "Nick, I was going to mention this later, when we were alone, but I need to know, if you can?" Kathy inquired. "What's that?" Nick asked, a little scared. Kathy leaned in closer, "Allen told me; do I need to worry about this?" "You know?" Nick asked, terrified, standing up, shaken in fear. "Nick," Paul uttered. "Nick, come with me, over there; come on," Kathy said. Kathy took Nick by the hand, over by the dumpster and they stood close together, "Nick, I'm sorry; I didn't mean to scare you." "You didn't; not really; I just didn't expect it; I'm sorry." Nick replied, exhaling. "I was coming by later when I got the news about Jamie, but this..." Kathy expressed her concern. "Yes, it was true; I was and Lucien, too, but..." Nick answered, hesitating. "Don't worry, past is past; I'm more soncerned about tamming this." Kathy told him. Nick chuckled slightly, "That was Natalie's concern as well," "What did she do?" Kathy asked. "Well, thankfully; he's just dead; we can call it, 'a vampire-wanna-be,' but we used John Doe's to cover the rest." Nick told her. "Great, fun time, what about...?" Kathy queried. "Later, let's finish up here first." Nick said. "Hey, guys, you okay?" Paul asked. "Yeah; we're good." Nick replied, smiling. Paul exhaled, relieved, "Good, big secret." "Oh yeah," Nick agreed. "Well; he's completely drained, one bite wound and this was in his hand." Paul briefed them. "What's that?" Nick asked. "Looks like a silver letter opener with two intials; M and M." Paul said. "No other wounds on him?" Nick inquired. "Not that I could see; I can't touch the body, yet; Kathy, go finish and you tell us." Paul suggested. "All right; Nick?" Kathy queried, slightly upset. "We're fine, don't worry." Nick said, smiling. "Thanks, Nick." Kathy said, returning to the body. "Buddy?" Paul inquired. Nick exhaled, "I'm fine, come on," Nick took Paul by the arm joining Kathy at the scene and stood by her side. They watched the aides roll the body bag on a gurney and loaded it into the wagon then drove away. "Well?" Nick questioend. "He was bitten and drained; he also has a wound on the base of his skull, I'll know more later." Kathy reported. "Damn," Nick mumbled. "Can I borrow that?" "Why?" Kathy asked. "I know some people that may be able to help in this, I'll bring it back; I promise?" Nick inquired. "All right, keep it sealed." Kathy ordered. "Yes, ma'am." Nick answered, grinning. "Cute, go on," Kathy said, shoving Nick out of the alley. Nick and Paul informed Reese they were going to Nick's place for some lunch and climbed into the car driving away heading for home. Adult: Mark of Mathews By: Cheryl T. Pillsbury They entered the loft seeing the ladies sleeping on the couch and LaCroix at the table waving them over for a hot lunch. Nick embraced LaCroix while Paul kissed Carla and they sat down to relax for a few. "How's Jamie doing?" Nick asked. "Only those two episodes, so far; she's fine." LaCroix answered. "Good; how does it feel to be married?" Nick inquired, smirking. Paul grinned; Carla shied away, "Heaven," "Enough said; Lucien, do you know about this at all?" Nick asked, showing him the letter opener. LaCroix examined it closely, "Where did you find this?" "We found a body, drained and he was holding that." Paul said. LaCroix's eyes widen, "Drained?" "Yes, he was," Nick replied to him. "Oh my," LaCroix uttered in fear. "Show this to Scott; he maintained his memory." "All right, thanks for lunch." Nick said. "OW, Lucien," Jamie shouted. "Excuse me," LaCroix said, running to Jamie's side. "Nick!" Molly yelled. "No way," Nick stuttered, running to Molly. "You too; it's too early." "No sweetheart; I'm stuck, help me up," Molly requested, laughing. "I need the bathroom." "Oh, sorry, come on," Nick said, pulling her up. "Lucien, a little lower," Jamie moaned. "Here, all right; relax your breathing; you're doing just fine." LaCroix said, calmly. "Going down," Jamie whispered. "Good, lay back; relax; there you go," LaCroix replied. "Ouch," Jamie said, exhaling hard. "What?" LaCroix asked. "It kicked me," Jamie told him. "You're welcome, sorry," LaCroix expressed warmly. "You all right?" "Bathroom time," jamie requested. "Then rest in bed, come on," LaCroix told her, helping her up off the couch. LaCroix escorted her upstairs for a pit stop and some rest, together. Molly exited the spare bathroom seeing Nick on the stairs and carefully joined him. "Nick, what's wrong?" Molly asked. "Not sure, jealousy, maybe; I think," Nick replied, leaning back. "Of what?" Molly inquired, smiling. "They're baby is arriving; I guess, I'm growing itchy for our troop." Nick said. "I see, don't worry; we're very close to our time." Molly replied. "Is there anything that I can do for you, to comfort you?" "Yeah, but..." Nick said, grinning, looking away. Molly's eyes sparkled, groping Nick's crotch firmly, "Paul," "Yeah," Paul yelled back. "We'll be upstairs, call when needed." Molly told him. "Okay, we have the same idea," Paul replied in return. "Molly, please," Nick moaned from her grip, feeling his arousal out of control. "Upstairs, quick," Molly whispered. "I won't make it, please," Nick said, unbuckling his belt. "All right, calm down," Molly said. She quickly unzipped his fly slipping her hand inside massaging his hadness firmer, hardeer, pumping him and kissed him passionately. Nick began to shake, moving with her hand then suddenly stopped. She stroked him once more then twice and let go, pulling her hand out, she held him until he stopped shaking. He looked deep into her brown eyes and smiled warmly. "Thank you, I really needed that," Nick uttered, exhaling hard. "Come on, let's go upstairs for round two," Molly said. Molly stood up extending her hand and led Nick up the stairs to their bedroom, closing the door for some comforting loving care. About thirty minutes had passed, Nick exited the bathroom fixing his clothes and sat down along side of Molly lying down on the bed. "You okay now?" Molly asked. Nick grinned that boyish grin, rubbing her belly, "Yes, thank you; you?" "I'm fine; I'm glad and anytime." Molly said. "Where are you going now?" "Work sadly," Nick answered. "Be careful, please," Molly said. "I love you so much." "Love you tons, get some sleep." Nick told her, kissing her passionately. Nick gave her belly one last rub then quietly left the room and bumped into LaCroix. They walked down the stairs as Paul was fixing his clothes and they met by the door. Molly' "How's Jamie?" Nick inquired. "Doing better; she's upstairs resting; I'll join her in a few. How's Molly?" LaCroix queried. "She's sleeping; I'm getting a little jealous," Nick softly replied. "I'm glad, and with that said; I will be downstairs in the car." Paul said, quickly leaving the loft. "Nicholas," LaCroix uttered, concerned. "Oh, Jamie's in labor, which is fantastic; I'm still on hold." Nick explained, sighing. LaCroix smiled, "I see; don't worry; the time is very close and yours is double." "I know; I guess I'm a little excited where Jamie's in labor, Molly's is close behind her." Nick said. "I know, go on, we'll be here," LaCroix replied, embracing his son. Nick smiled in return, exiting the loft as LaCroix joined Jamie upstairs and Nick climbed into the car as his cell phone rang. He quickly pulled it out from his right pant pocket, "Knight," "Hey, Nick; its Kathy, stop by," Kathy requested. "Okay, one stop first then we'll be there." Nick briefed her. "Okay, thanks." Kathy answered, hanging up. Nick returned his phone to his pocket then started the engine, "Kathy, she's ready for us, but I want to see Scott about that letter opener." "Cool," paul said, happily. "I haven't seen him since the wedding. How's he adjusting?" "He's fine," Nick said. "Come on," Nick backed up and drove to the Raven to question Scott in solving this vampire mystery. Nick parked out front, noticing a few cars parked in a line and they exited the car entering the club. Lights were on, a soft atmosphere setting, a few scented candles and people enjoying their lunch. They walked down the stairs seeing Scott behind the bar drying some wine glasses. They quietly approached him and tapped the bar with their hands to draw his attention. Scott turned around, surprised to see them; especially Paul and smiled warmly, giving them each a bottle of ice-sold water. "Welcome back; it was a beautiful wedding, and how was the honeymoon?" Scott inquired. "Great, and thsank you. It's been a long time since I saw Italy." Paul told him, beaming from ear-to-ear. "Down boy," Nick said, passing him his water. "Scott, do you know anything about this; I think we're dealing with one." "Let's see," Scott requested, examining it. "The body was completely drained and that was in his hand." Paul informed him. "If it's whm I think it is; we have a very serious problem, especially Lucien." Scott said. "He doesn't need this, neither do I," Nick mumbled. "I understand; I will discuss it with Joshua. How's Jamie and Lucien doing?" Scott inquired. "Holding on, so far; what about Joshua?" Nick queried. "He's been assigned here as the passage for both sides, protection." Scott told him. "Call me when you have something." Nick requested. "I will; safe journey. I'll be at your place; my turn." Scott said. "All right, thanks." Nick repleid. Nick and Paul quickly left the Raven climing into the car and headed over to the Forensics building parking out front. They quickly entered the lab seeing Kathy still examining the body and sighed, frustrated. They leaned upon the slab, Nick placed the evidence onto her desk and they patiently waited for her. She saw them out the corner of her eye turning to face them and smiled. They suddenly felt uneasy and loked at her slightly scared. "Kathy," Nick said. "You know, this is weird; I understand about the bite, the draining of the blood, but why is there a bite wound in the base of his skull?" she questioned. "A what?" Nick queried, shocked. "Look, come around," Kathy suggested. They followed Kathy towards the head and pointed out a bite mark just under the hairline. "That's weird," Nick repsoned. "Is this something new; I have never heard of this?" Kathy inquired. "I only remember the three common places, that's new to me." Nick answered. "Did you ID him yet?" "Oh, yeah, sorry; this was Stewart Cayer, twenty-four years old, five foot nine, approximately one hundred and sixty pounds, brown hair and blue eyes; cause od death; unknown, for now." Kathy told them. "I mentioned it to my source; he's looking into it, the bag is on your desk, thank you." Nick said. "Any clues?" Kathy inquired. "Not yet, but I'll tell the source about the extra wound." Nick told her. "I'll call you if there's anything else." Kathy replied. "Thanks; where's Allen?" Nick asked. "Special Assignment," Kathy answered. "Let's go see Reese; I told Lucien I would meet him at the car lot; he got mini van for Jamie." Nick briefed him. "Bye, Kathy." Paul said. They ran out of the lab, down the stairs leading outside and climbed into the car. Nick drove to the station parking along the curbside. They entered the station observing Reese in and around Nick's desk waiting for them to arrive. They cautiously approached him and stood by his side. "Gentlemen," Reese uttered, not happy. "Sorry, Cap; we got caught up with the case. Kathy found the same wound at the base of his skull." Nick reported. "I got the file, the press is having a field day." Reese said, angrily. "They'll get bored and go away." Paul replied, hoping. "Let's hope so," Reese said, walking away. Paul exhaled hard, "This will be a nightmare," "I agree; I need to meet up with Lucien and smooch Molly. I'll see you in the morning about nine." Nick suggested. "Done, have fun," paul replied. "I will, later." Nick said, running out of the building. He walked down the stairs stepping into the car and headed for the car lot. As he drove through the lot; he saw LaCroix leaing up against the new van. He pulled up along side of him and gazed upon the new vehicle. "Very nice, it's gold; love the color," Nick said. "Come on, the info; let's have it." LaCroix grinned, slightly blushing, "Same as Molly's, a Toyota Highlander hybrid, spanking new." "Feel better?" Nick asked. "Some, come on; I don't want to be away from Jamie too long." LaCroix said. "Lead on." "No, you lead, in case." Nick told him. LaCroix climbed in, carefully drove out with Nick close behind him and they drove home for dinner and cozy time with their lovely wives. They rode up in the elevator seeing them sitting on the couch sipping tea and relaxing. "Hello, ladies," Nick said. "Missed you, come on, dinner's ready on the table." Molly said. "Great; ready, up you go; I need a hug first." Nick told her. "That's it?" Molly inquired. "More later, but I'm really hungry, come on," Nick said, smiling, escorting Molly to the table. Adult: Mark of Mathews By: Cheryl T. Pillsbury LaCroix, however, sat down very close to jamie and she folded completely into his arms. LaCroix massaged her upper back and kissed the top of her head. "What's wrong honey?" LaCroix asked. Jamie sniffed a little, "I'm scared." LaCroix smiled, "Of what?" "Delivery," she mumbled. "Sweetheart, look at me," LaCroix requested. "I can understand that; you giving life from your body; that's very scary, but I will be there with every pain, every push and all the encouragement I can muster to help you deliver our baby." "I know," Jamie replied, softly. "It's okay, really," LaCroix said, then noticed heer tensing up. "Jamie," "Lucien, ow," Jamie moaned. "Lay back, feet up; Nicholas, some hot tea," LaCroix said, loudly. "On my way," Nick shouted in return. "Show me," LaCroix requested. "Lower belly and my..." Jamie groaned. LaCroix placed one hand upon her lower belly and the other upon her crotch and began to massage her, easing her pain. "All right," LaCroix said. "OW, it's more intense," Jamie told him. "All right, don't push; just breathe and ride it," LaCroix instructed her. "Ow, ow," Jamie cried. "Here you go," Nick whispered. "Thank you," LaCroix spoke in return. Nick returned to Molly as LaCroix joined Jamie's labor, "You all right?" "Going down," Jamie said, exhaling hard. "That one really hurt." "I'm sure, come on, time to eat and rest." LaCroix suggested, strongly. He stood up off the couch, helping her up then she stumbled grabbing her belly, "Lucien," "What is it?" LaCroix asked, concerned. "The baby dropped," Jamie said. "That's good; we'll have our baby real soon, but more intense labor, sorry," LaCroix replied. "Bathroom, now," Jamie said, walking fast. "Come on," LaCroix said, walking with her. LaCroix assisted Jamie into the bathroom then they joined Nick and Molly at the table for a cozy dinner and some warm family communication. About thirty minutes passed, a knock echoed from the door and Nick politely excused himself answering the door. Scott, with Joshua at his side, entered the loft. Nick saw the look in Scott's eyes and hited to wait for the ladies to leave. "Why don't you girl's go upstairs; we'll clean up." Nick suggested. "All right," Molly said. "Jamie, stay with Molly until I come up." LaCrox requested. "Sounds good," Jamie replied, smiling. "Good," LaCroix replied, blushing. "Go on," The ladies slowly made their way up the stairs into Molly's bedroom and LaCroix joined them by the door. "I heard its Jamie's time; my very best to you and your family." Joshua said. "Thank you," LaCroix replied. "What is it, Scott?" "Nicholas showed me that letter opener and I told Joshua; it seems Philip Mathews has returned." Scott told them. "Who's Philip Mathews?" Nick asked. "Nicholas, you were human then, but sadly it's Lucien he's after." Joshua indicated. "Why?" LaCroix asked. "It's difficult, where you're human now and he's unaware of this." Joshua said. "Tell me," LaCroix demanded. Nick stood close to LaCroix, embracing his arm and held him tight, "Go on," "In the year 1103, you were exploring the shores of England; you came across a woman and fed upon her. That was Mathews' wife. He fought you and lost. You cursed him by bringing him across and vanished; left him to exist on his own." Joshua explained, painfully. "Oh, God," LaCroix uttered, terrified. "He's looking for you, for revenge. We have a team watching everyone here; trust me, at a distance for privacy." Joshua informed them. "Not now; not with Jamie in labor," LaCroix said, shaking in fear. "Trust me; you will be safe and not disturbed in any way; I promise." Joshua told him. "Also, it's possible he could try and frame you, also watch for the clues." Scott suggested. Molly suddenly appeared on the balcony, "Lucien, it's Jamie," LaCroix ran quickly up the stairs to Jamie and Nick bid them frewell then joined Molly upstairs. They entered their bedroom seeing them doing the Lamaza exercise. "It's gone," Jamie whispered. "You all right?" LaCroix asked. Jamie breathed in deep then out, "Yes, just tired." "Come on, thank you, Molly." LaCroix said. "Rest easy," Molly replied, embracing them. Nick closed the door while Molly walked over and sat down staring at him with a devilish grin. He slowly approached her removing his shirt, shoes and socks. She suddenly reached out grabbing his belt and looked into his loving blue eyes. "Allow me," she suggested. "Always, anytime," Nick replied, stroking her soft cheek. She slowly unbuckled his belt, unzipped his fly and gave his pants a gentle push down; Nick kicked them aside. She gazed upon his naked body and sighed. Molly looked up at him and smiled seductively. "You are so beautiful," Molly said, with a tear rolling down her cheek. "You are my heaven, my world and my life," Nick said, lovingly. Molly slowly massaged him, stroked and pumped him, massaging his testicles. She carefully kissed and tasted his hardness; he moaned with every stroke. His arousal became harder, hotter and felt out of control; he felt his knees shaking, becoming weak and whispered her name. She quickly covered him with a towel feeling hm pulsating, sensing his climax very near and placed a tighter grip on him. He moaned louder as his essence exploded into it and she smiled seeing the joy and love shining from his face. She gently cleaned him; they laid across the bed very close together and held on tight until he stopped quivering. "You all right?" Molly asked. Nick breathing hard, "Still riding," Molly giggled, "That good, I'm glad." "Oh yeah," Nick replied, relaxing his breathing. "I enjoyed every ounce of that; increditable." "Good, so did I," Molly sid, and then suddenly jerked. "Nick, the babies; they're moving." "Where, show me," Nick requested, happily. "Amazing; okay, it's late and Daddy says nite-nite." Molly laughs, "That's right; Daddy, time to sleep." "Yes; Mommy," Nick replied, laughing. "Oh you, come on," Molly said, poking his stomach. "Bathroom first, pass me the towel," Nick said. Nick took the towel with him, taking care of his personal business and returned to Molly in bed for a good night sleep. LaCroix and Jamie made themselves comfortable in bed and embraced one another. he felt her body tensing up and stroked her hair smiling. "What is it, love?" LaCroix asked. "I feel like I'm neglecting you." Jamie said. LaCroix laughed, "we're in labor; I haven't really thought about it; you are the center of attention." Jamie placed her hand under the blanket into LaCroix's lounge pants and massaged him feeling his arousal that he didn't tell her about. "How long?" Jamie asked. "A few hours, Jamie..." LaCroix replied, breathing heavy. Jamie, I was more concerned for, ah---Jamie..." "I understand, and I appreciate it, but you need my attention also, stand up or move closer towards me," Jamie told him. LaCroix stood on his knees moving closer towards her; she stroked, massaged him as he held onto the headboard. He felt her heat rising his out of control; he moaned louder with each stroke. She got a firm hold of him, slightly squeezing, a little rough, pumping him fast and hard. He moved within her hand then out; he moaned her name; she covered him and literary exploding into it; she stroked him a few more times as he held the headboard; his knuckles turning red. Jamie smiled, kissed his testicles and cleaned him off. She grabbed his arm, placing the towel onto the floor and he lovingly embraced her still riding his climax; breathing hard. "Ah---Jamie," LaCroix whispered. "Lucien, look at me," Jamie requested. "Yes, we're in labor, I need you then, and always, but in between, you need me, please don't stop that again, I also need that sexual attention as well, all right." "I promise." LaCroix said. "Lucien," Jamie whispered. "Hmm," LaCroix mumbled. "It hurts, same places," Jamie said, moaning. "All right, breathe deep," LaCroix instructed. "Lucien, move to my lower back," Jamie requested. "I got you, relax," LaCroix told her. "OW, that hurts," Jamie cried. "It's all right, open your legs, here's your pillow." LaCroix replied, placing it between her thighs. "Fading away," Jamie whispered. "I prefer you there." LaCroix laughed, warmly, "Me too, in six weeks, okay." "It's gone," Jamie told him. "Let's sleep while we can, keep the pillow there, it may help." LaCroix suggested. "Love you," "Love you, too, darling; remember what we talked about." Jamie replied, falling off to sleep. LaCroix snuggled as close as he could to her and they slowly fell asleep, knowing the baby's arrival is near. The alarm sounded with Molly waking up first leaning over and turned it off. She rolled back seeing Nick sound asleep with a smile on hs face and she just grinned, gazing at him. She lightly placed her hand upon his chest stroking him then slowly downward in and around his belly button and lightly touched the string on his lounge pants. Nick let out a soft moan, moving his hips around and she carefully pulled the string exposing his hardness. Nick slowly placed his hand upon her upper back as she moved down to be closer and began kissing his arousal. She saw him becoming harder; she felt his heat rising and Nick moaning with her seductive gestures. She got a tighter grip on him pumping him as he savored the pleasure; she kissed and touched him with her moist tongue. Nick suddenly shook, moaning heer name; she grabbed the towel covering him, he gave suggestions of faster, harder; she complied and more. He stopped short holding her as he ejaculated into the towel. She warmly kissed his hip and moved towards his face enbracing him, sharing the ride from his climax. Nick exhaling hard, "Morning," "Morning," Molly replied, giggling. "What brought that on?" Nick asked, winded. Molly, inhaled, "Temptation; your fault." "My fault, how?" Nick inquired. "Can I help it if you are so handsome and delicious?" Molly queried. "No and thank you, so are you." Nick said, kissing her passionately. "Thank you; I love you," Molly said, smiling. "Love you, too; shower," Nick suggested. "Take turns first then oh yeah..." Molly said, beaming. "Uh-oh," Nick uttered. "Oh yeah, come on, lover," Molly said, shoving him out of bed. Nick and Molly attended to their compassionate desires and savored every moment. However; LaCroix woke up to Jamie moaning and breathing hard. "It's all right; relax," LaCroix said. Jamie, slightly crying, "It really hurts," "Where?" LaCroix asked. "Lower back and in between," Jamie moaned. "All right, on your side, here I come, here's your pillow again," LaCroix instructed her. "Lucien," Jamie cried. "No talking, just breathe; whatever it is, we'll fix or talk later." LaCroix replied. "No pushing, squeeze my hand or the pillow, don't push." "OW, I need to..." Jamie whispered, exhaling. "Just do it; I'll fix it later," LaCroix told her. "Lucien, ow, ow..."Jamie whispered. "All right; I'm right here,"LaCroix whispered. A knock on the door with Nick entering, "Just checking..." "Towels in the bathroom," LaCroix requested. Nick ran into the bathroom grabbing every towel he could find and returned to LaCroix, "Here you go," "Remove the pillow then wash your hands," LaCroix told him. LaCroix placed the towels up against Jamie, between her thighs, rubbing her back and Nick washed his hands. He stood by the bedpost in amazement of the labor process and LaCroix's warm and tentative side. "Going down," Jamie whispered. "All right, deep breathes, relax," LaCroix replied. "Lucien," Jamie cried. "I'm right here," LaCroix said. "Nicholas, give me a few minutes alone, please." "Sure, sorry," Nick replied, quietly leaving the room. "Nicholas," Lacorix whispered. "Come on, you need a soothing shower and I'll fix the bed." "I'm sorry; I couldn't...I had no control," Jamie expressed to him. "Honey, your labor is intensifying; you will lose all control, it's all right," LaCroix told her, embracing her tight. "Go on, shower and I'll take care of this." Adult: Mark of Mathews By: Cheryl T. Pillsbury Downstairs, Nick sat down at the table next to Molly with a sad, pouting face. Molly grew concerned wrapping her hands around his upper arm and gently blew into his ear. "Nick, what's wrong?" Molly asked. "I've been watching the labor process and it's scary." Nick said to her. "What; the pain or lack of sleep?" Molly inquired. "That, loss of all control and only you in pain, it's..." Nick briefed her, hesitating. "Honey, that's part of the joy and happiness, my body is expanding to allow our children out safely." Molly said. "I know, it's..." Nick replied, calming down, slightly. "Come here, touch right here," Molly suggested. "These are our children and we will be sitting here in a few weeks holding, feeding, changing and loving them in our arms; think about this, 'with pain comes the joy.'" "I love you," Nick said, kissing her. "And I love you, too; time for me to rest." Molly said. "See you at lunch time," Nick told her. "Hmm, dessert time," Molly replied, teasing him. "We'll see, go on," Nick said, smiling. Molly kissed him passionately giving him a firm grope with her other hand, walking away, which LaCroix saw and Nick blushed slightly. LaCroix grinned, sitting down next to him and folded his hands staring at Nick. "Was it good for you?" LaCroix asked, laughing. "Almost; how's Jamie?" Nick asked, concerned. "She's fine; she's resting," LaCroix told him. "What's bothering you?" "The labor process, I guess," Nick answered, when his cell phone rang. "Knight," "Nicholas, its Scott; I need to see you and Paul." Scott informed him. "He'll be here in a few then we'll come there," Nick told him. "Thank you, not Lucien," Scott insisted. "Understood," Nick answered, hanging up. "Nicholas, a quick note before you go; I understand how you feel, seeing a loved one suffering, it bothers me as well, but I'm there." LaCroix said. "With pain comes the joy," Nick quoted Molly. "So true, my son, so true," LaCroix agreed. "Be careful." "Thanks, love you." Nick said. "Call me," "I will; love you, too; take care." LaCroix replied. "I will," Nick said, smiling and embraced his father. Nick rode down in the elevator, walking outside and joined Paul in the car. He informed Paul of the phone call, backed out and headed for the Raven. Nick parked along the curbside and they exited the car entering the club. They saw Scott standing behind the bar with Joshua, but noticed no people in the club; they were totally alone. They walked down the stairs sitting down on a stool and saw the serious frightful look in Scott's eyes. "Scott, what's wrong?" Nick asked. "We know who this vampire is and he's a very deadly one. His name is Philip Mathews and he's approximately three hundred and twenty-five years old." Scott told him. "Why is he here?" Paul inquired. "He's seeking revenge for the way Lucien left him, also his wife." Johua said. "How do we catch him?" Nick questioned. "You don't; I do; he's from my world; you are forbidden, Nicholas." Joshua insisted. "But, I..." Nick started to say. "No; your redemption and LaCroix's forbidden; the task is mine now. Don't interfere; I will inform you of his destruction." Joshua said, walking into the backroom. "I'm sorry, Nicholas, but it must be this way, for both worlds." Scott expressed strongly. "All right, Scott; I sometimes forget and I want to do it all." Nick said. "It's all right," Scott replied, smiling. Nick cell phone rang, "Knight," "Hey, Nick; head over to the corner of Wilson, a possible pipe- bomb explosion; Kathy's there with George from the Bomb Squad." Reese indicated to him. "On our way, Cap," Nick said, hanging up. "Keep me posted, Scott. Corner of Wilson; pipe-bomb, let's roll." "Damn," Paul uttered. They ran up the stairs and climbed into the car. Paul set up the light and siren, and Nick headed for the Wilson corner at top speed. Nick parked about five feet away then saw Kathy with George, examining what's left of the mail box. They sighed frustrated, stepping out from the car and approached Kathy standing along side of her. "What's you got?" Nick asked. "Pipe-bomb; it looks like," Kathy answered. "Hey George," Paul replied. "It's your common home-made pipe-bomb." George told them. "Any clues, prints?" Nick inquired, "No, but I did find this; a note," George replied, handing the bag to Nick. "Where's my money?" Nick read out loud. "Ex-employee," "Looks it, ut from where; we have three mail buildings alone in Toronto." Paul said. "I'll run it, maybe it has a print or something on it," Kathy suggested. "Sweet," Paul replied. "Nick, a moment alone, please," Kathy requested. "At my car, Paul, hang here for a few," Nick said. Nick escorted Kathy to the car; they leaned upon the hood and sighed. "What is it?" Nick inquired. "About the other case; Stewart; was it a vampire?" Kathy reluctant to ask. "Yes, my source will handle it." Nick told her. "Good; Nick, I'm..." Kathy replied. "Kathy, its okay, really, sometimes I forget I was one." he said. "Is Lucien, really your cousin?" Kathy queried. "In this world; life; yes, but he was my master; my father and still is, my father, but we use the term cousin; it fits better." Nick explained. "That's wonderful, okay, let's go back and let me know, in case we need to do a JD, okay." Kathy suggested. "Fine, come on," Nick said. Nick embraced her, walking back towards the others and they scanned the area. "Oh, Mark handled Stewart's family; he knew them." Kathy replied, sadly. "Thanks, how are they holding up?" Paul asked. "He was their only son, so..." she uttered. "All right, let's check in then my place for lunch; I have to drive Lucien and Jamie to Doc's then its Molly's exam. I'll meet you at the lab." Nick replied. "Okay, but I want a full report, Bud." Paul politely demanded. "Yes, sir; come on," Nick said, pulling at him. "Thanks, Kathy." "Bye," Kathy whispered. They climbed into the car driving away and headed for the station, parking out front. Nick parked along the curb and they ran up the stairs entering Reese's office and sat down. "Spill it, guys," Reese requested, bluntly. "Okay; Stewart Cayer; cause of death still unknown; two wounds, one in his throat and the other at the base of the skull." Paul reported. "Pipe-bomb in the mail box at the corner of Wilson, a note was found, 'where's my money?'" Nick added. "And the media is going crazy over this. Mark is out for a few days; he knew Stewart and his family." Reese told them. "We're waiting on Kathy for the results." Paul replied. "Where to now?" Reese asked. "My place for lunch then I'm taking Lucien with Jamie and Molly to the doctor's." Nick said. "How's Jamie?" Reese inquired. "They're getting more intense." Nick said. "Tomorrow; I guarantee it," Reese said. "How about Molly?" "A few more weeks; they're about three weeks apart." Nick replied, sighing. "All right, get lost, but keep me posted." Reese said. "Yes, sir." Paul answered. They exited his office; Paul led the way out of the building and they climbed into the car heading for Nick's loft. As Nick stepped into the elevator; Carla walked by smiling and leaped into Paul's arms. Nick exited the elvator entering the loft seeing LaCroix pacing the floor and he leaned up against the chair. "Lucien," Nick uttered, no response, "Lucien," LaCroix jumped slightly, "Nicholas; I'm frantic," "Calm down, what's wrong?" Nick asked. "Where's Molly?" "Getting dressed; Jamie says she has slight bleeding," LaCroix whispered. "That's normal; with the first, as the labor progresses, the placenta becomes tender, sensitive and causes a little bleeding; she's fine." Nick said. Molly came down the stairs wrapping herself around him, "Nick," "Hey, love; ask Doc; he'll explain it better." Nick replied, exhaling. "All right; I'll go get her." LaCroix said, walking upstairs. "All right," Nick smiled, "Nervous Dad." "And you?" Molly asked. Nick smiled, "Terrified Dad." "Missed you," Molly said, grinning. "Missed you more," Nick replied, kissing her nose. "Hmm, I can feel that," Molly replied, warmly, lighty touching him. "Not now; we don't have time," Nick said, when a knock echoed from the door. "Come in," Nick stood in shock as Joe Stonetree, his old Captain and friend, walked instanding along side of him glancing at Molly. "Hello, Nick," Joe said. "Joe; Joe Stonetree," Nick said, moving over enbracing him with warmth and fondness. "It's been a long time," joe said. "Too long; joe, my wife, Molly; this is Joe Stonetree, my former Captain and good friend." Nick introduced them. "You've been busy." Joe replied, touching Molly's belly. "Yeah, three more weeks; twins." Nick told him, proudly. "My best to you," Joe replied, hesitating. "Joe Stonetree," LaCroix said, approaching them from the stairwell. "LaCroix, isn't it?" Joe asked. "Yes, Lucien, please; my wife, Jamie." LaCroix replied, happily. "When's the baby due?" Joe asked. "She's in labor as we speak." LaCroix said. "Nick, I need to talk to you." Joe requested. "Lucien, take them downstairs; we'll break in the new van; I'll be down in a few." Nick told him. "All right, but your driving," LaCroix suggested. "Okay, thanks," Nick said, watching them leave. "What's up?" "I heard about the pipe-bomb on Wilson."Joe said. "Yeah, no clues yet; possible ex-employee." Nick briefed him. Joe sighed, "Nick, I'm afraid it may be my nephew doing this." "Danny, why?" Nick asked, stunned. "You remember him?" Joe inquired. "Yes, what happened?' he questioned. "I don't want to keep you, but he was fired from the South end Toronto mail serive for sexual harrassment and he's out for revenge." Joe said. "I can't find him anywhere." "It's all right, we'll help find him, come by tonight for some dinner and we'll talk." Nick suggested. "All right; I'll follow you out." Joe said. "Great," Nick replied, escorting him out of the loft and outside. Joe climbed into his car driving away and Nick climbed into the driver's seat of the new van driving to St. Claire's Hospital lower levels. Adult: Mark of Mathews By: Cheryl T. Pillsbury Nick parked close to the front door; they each helped their wife out of the van and walked inside. They entered Docs office seeing him leaning up against his desk grinning and glanced at all four of them. "Well, it's your time," Doc said, looking at Jamie, "Jamie," "Uh-oh," LaCroix said. "Take her in, make her comfortable," Doc told him. "Well, Molly, how are you feeling?" "Tired, excited and scared," Molly answered. "I'm sure, let's go into my new room while they ride the labor, follow me." Doc said. Doc escorted them into the other room, Nick assisted Molly with her clothes and helped her up onto the table. "Let's see, what's going on; you'll feel a lttle pressure." Doc explained to her. "All right," Molly replied, breathing deeply, holding Nick's hands. "Did you feel any pain or discomfort of any kind?" Doc asked. "Just my lower back," Molly answered. "What is it?" Nick asked, scared. "One second, let's see where they are," Doc suggested, examining her belly. "Yep, believe it or not; she's one centimeter open." "What?" Molly sked, shocked, squeezing Nick's hands. "I need to put you on bed rest as much as possible, no stairs." Doc ordered. "We're planning lunch out tomorrow," Nick requested. "Not too long, we don't want them born too soon, there's three weeks left; we need at least two more weeks for their lungs to develop." Doc briefed him. "Whoa," Nick said. "Get dressed; I'm going to check on Jamie." Doc said, walking away. Doc left them alone, entering the other room hearing Jamie crying, trying to relax. He quickly approached and stood at the end of the table. "Going down," Jamie cried. "It's all right, breathe deep," LaCroix said. "No more please," Jamie requested, exhaling. LaCroix smiled, "I can't stop it until after the baby is born, sorry, love." "You all right?" Doc asked. "Yeah, tired," Jamie answered, winded. "All right, let's see what number you have." Doc said, as he examined her. "Whoa, Jamie, you're a four; great job, definitely by tomorrow night." Doc said, happily. "Lucien," Jamie replied, happily. "Fantastic, what did you mean by her number? Is Molly in labor?" LaCroix asked. "Not really, it's too early for her, but she's a one and I've ordered bed rest until it really begins, except for your lunch date tomorrow." Doc said. "Are the twins all right?" LaCroix inquired, concerned. "They're fine, its just that their lungs aren't ready yet and we want them in their for at least another two weeks." Doc told him. "All right," LaCroix said. "Get dressed, see you in the next room." Doc replied, leaving them. Doc entered the other room seeing Nick and Molly embraced in a passionate kiss and coughed slightly. "Sorry," Nick replied, blushing with a grin. "No need, its great to see, oh---here's the other two, good. Molly's a one and Jamie's a four; she's close to the end." Doc said. "A very exciting time; Molly, you rest as much as possible." "I will," Molly whispered. "When you feel your back tensing or hurting, tell someone so they can help you." Doc said. "All right," Molly answered. "We'll order in, let's go," Nick suggested. They exited Doc's office. walking outside and climbed into the van. Nick quickly drove home and parked near the elevator. They rode up to Nick's loft entering the living room and saw Scott standing there holding a silver tray with two cups of hot tea. They helped the ladies sit down, feet up and Scott served them their tea. "There's coffee at the table and dinner's almost ready." Scott said. "Thank you, Scott; we appreciate the help," LaCroix replied, fondly. "The two spare rooms on this floor are ready and filled with your things; so no stairs." Scott told them. "You're amazing; let them rest," LaCroix suggested, escorting Nick and Scott towards the table. A knock echoed from the door with paul and Joe entering the loft and they joined them at the table for some coffee. Nick tapped the table, "Okay, we've been busy with the girl's; we need to update the files; the mail box first," he said. "Paul, this is Joe Stonetree; my former Captain and still good friend; Joe, my partner and good friend, Paul Coletti. Let's begin; Joe, tell us about Danny." "My sister's son, Danny; we thought he was on the right road, but apparently, a woman at the South end mail building charge him with sexual harrassment and held his pay check; he's hurt and angry." Joe explained, upset. "Who's the woman?" Paul asked. "Maria Benson," Joe answered. "What other trouble has Danny been in?" Paul inquired. "Petty stuff, nothing like this, never; Nick."Joe said, strongly. "That's odd," Paul mumbled. "All right; what about hang outs?" Nick queried. "I'm gonna run this, be back," Paul told him, walking away towards the computer. "Thanks," Nick said. "He likes the arcades and the beach," Joe told him. "Please, Nick, find him." "I'll try, go home and I'll be in touch." Nick suggested. "Thanks, Nick and for the coffee." Joe whispered. "We'll plan a dinner next time," Nick replied, as Joe got up, bid frewell leaving the loft. "Scott, have a seat." "Lucien, help," Jamie cried out. "Excuse me, coming," LaCroix said, running to Jamie. "Tell me about Philip Mathews," Nick requested. "All I know is he was brought across by Lucien after he fed from his wife; instead of tending to Philip, he left him there, in limbo, if you will." Scott told him. "Does he know about us?" Nick asked. "I'm afraid not," Scott said. "He will try and find Lucien." "Where's Joshua?" Nick asked. "Not sure," Scott answered. "I'm back; the ladies are lying down resting." LaCroix told Nick. "What's going on?" "Mathews wants you, but he doesn't know about your redemption." Scott replied. "Not now; I don't know or remember him." LaCroix said, scared. "Don't worry; he won't find you; the Community has destroyed every record that pertains to you two." Scott said. "You never existed on the other side." "Good," Nick replied. "I'm tired." "I and Paul with Carla will be upstairs. We set up intercoms for emergencies, just push the button and one of us will be there." Scott explained. "Thank you, Scott; I'll join Jamie," LaCroix replied, walking away. "Scott, keep him away." Nick insisted. "I will; I promise, night Nicholas." Scott said, firmly. "Thank you;night, Scott." Nick said, standing and entered the spare bedroom. Nick took care of his personal need and joined Molly in the bedroom closing the door behind him. He saw Molly snuggled under the blankets and saw his lounge pants lying on the bed. "Hi," Nick whispered, changing his clothes. "Hi, that's teasing," Molly replied, smiling. Nick laughed, "Something you need or want?" "All of you, come here," Molly requested. Nick crawled under the blankets minus his pants and snuggled with Molly. "Okay, you have me, always and forever, now what?" Nick inquired. "Hmm, this,"Molly replied, massaging him, slightly hard. "Always, darling," Nick complied, kissing her passionately. They made love for awhile then drifted off to sleep as did LaCroix and Jamie. They rested from a long day and to do it all again tomorrow. Around midnight, Joshua had touched down in the back alley of the Raven and entered the club. As he approached the bar, he sensed an old one and turned about seeing Mathews by the center pole grinning. "Mathews," Joshua uttered. "Joshua," Mathews replied, politely, in return. "What is it that you seek?" Joshua asked. "Lucien LaCroix; this is his haven, is it not?" Mathews inquired. "No, it's mine; I bought it from him some time ago." Joshua answered. "lucien LaCroix is no longer in the fold; he's forbidden." "He will be punished for his crime against my family." Mathews insisted, strongly. "He's no longer among us; he has been returned to the light; he's forbidden.' Joshua told him. "What?" Mathews inquired, shocked. Joshua cautiously stood in his path, sighed, "Lucien LaCroix and Nicholas Knight have been returned to the light; they're human now and have no past memories of their previous existence. Please, don't do this." "That's impossible," Mathews replied, snarling. "Come here tomorrow night and I will have proof for you, with one request." Joshua suggested. "That is?"Mathews queried. "Lucien's wife is in labor, leave them alone." Joshua said. "A child, Lucien," Mathews uttered, surprised. "Yes; Nicholas and his wife are expecting twins in a few weeks; my full request, leave them alone." Joshua told him. "I will refrain until tomorrow night." Mathews agreed. "Thank you," Joshua replied, as Mathews fled the club. Joshua went about his business and cleaned up the bar; wondering if Mathews will keep his word; NOT. Molly rolled over opening her eyes, rubbing her belly and saw Nick all curled up smiling. She exhaled smirking and kissed his nose. Nick opened his eyes seeing that sparkle in her eyes. "Morning," Nick said. "Morning," Molly replied. "What are you planning?" Nick asked. Molly smiled wide, "You," "Me, as in?" Nick inquired. "As in, this and this,"Molly replied. She placed his hand in between her thighs firmly pressing it into her heat and massaged him hard. "Are you sure?" Nick asked, feeling the heat emanating from her. "Please; I need you to touch me this time," Molly replied, exhaling hard. "Anytime, all right," Nick whispered, breathing erractic. They loved, massaged and caressed each other soaring to their climax, embracing one another tight. Molly slowly kissed his neck and chest then Nick let out a soft laugh. "I would love another massage, but sadly, it's a work day." Nick said. "That was wonderful, you all right?" "I am now, thank you; I really enjoyed that one." Molly aid. "So did I; we'll do it again later, I promise; shower then the couch for you." Nick instructed her. "Yes, sir." Molly replied. "Turns first then shower." "Deal," Nick said, smiling. "One more thing, anytime you want me to massage you, please let me know, okay; remember our talk." "Yes, i will, let's go." Molly replied, grinning. Nick escorted Molly to the spare bedroom and they took care of each other's pleasures. LaCroix woke up feeling Jamie moving around in bed and saw she was in hard labor, but her eyes were closed. LaCroix quickly sat up near her legs and lightly shook her arm. He began to massage her belly and thighs. "Lucien, ow; it burns," Jamie cried out. "All right, relax your breathing, come on; look at me," LaCroix instructed her. "Lucien, please, it burns," Jamie replied, moaning. "Don't push, not now, relax; here squeeze the towel, it's clean," LaCroix said. "Lucien, I can't..." Jamie shouted, grabbing her lower belly. Suddenly, the bed was soaked, LaCroix, scared by this, cried out for Nick. He came running in seeing Jamie in heavy labor. Nick ran for the intercom waking up the others and leaned on the bed by Jamie's legs. "What happened?" Nick asked. "She began her pain, then the bed was wet; what do I do?" LaCroix asked, as the others came running into the room. "Her water broke; Carla, stay with Molly; Paul, call Doc and Scott, grab towels, scissors and string for the cord, now." Nick ordered. "Lucien, move the blankets; thanks, Scott; lift jamie up and remove her underwear; I'll place this towel under her." "Doc's on his way," Paul shouted. "Hot water to clean the baby off." Nick added. "Got it," Paul yelled back. "All right, Jamie, what do you feel?" Nick asked. "Burning, pressure; oh, Lucien, it burns," Jamie cried, shaking. "Hold her hand and watch down here; Scott, place a pillow behind Jamie," Nick requested. "All right," Scott said. "Lucien," Jamie whispered, breathing hard. "I'm here, let's see our baby; listen to Nicholas." LaCroix said. "Jamie, on the next pain, breathe in then out, breathe in then push; push my hand away." Nick told her. Adult: Mark of Mathews By: Cheryl T. Pillsbury Jamie felt her pain returning very intense; she did as Nick had explained and pushed, bearing down hard. She repeated this about three more times, until Nick said to stop. "Uh-oh," Nick whispered. "What is it?" LaCroix asked, terrified. "Jamie, don't push, just breathe, the cord's around the baby's neck; this will hurt. Hold onto her, Lucien, one, two, three..." Nick replied. Jamie yelled nin pain as Nick pushed the baby slightly inward and removed the cord. "Nicholas," Jamie shouted. "All right, Jamie, give me all you got, let's see the baby, push on her belly, Lucien, help push the baby out." Nick told him. "All right, love, here we go," LaCroix said. They both pushed and moaned some more until the baby slid into Nick's hands. He quickly examined the baby, cleaning it off and tied the cord. He cried in amazement, as Doc entered the room and witnessed the birth with the sound of cry of joy. "Lucien; Jamie; it's a girl, it's a girl," Nick announced, proudly. "A girl; Nicholas," LaCroix said, stunned crying tears of sheer happiness. Nick placed the baby into Jamie's arms and she held her tight. LaCroix moved closer, touching his lovely daughter. Doc approached Nick and requested he finish the job. Nick slowly left the room, entering the living room and sat down next to Molly folding himself into her arms. She saw the tears welling up in his eyes then rolling down his cheeks. "Honey," Molly whispered. "It's a girl; they have a daughter," Nick said. "How wonderful," Molly said, holding him, while everyone cheered with joy. "Oh, Molly, it's so real, there's a baby, a girl from Lucien and Jamie." Nick said, slightly crying, calming down. The door slowly opened with LaCroix carrying his daughter to show everyone and Nick stood up greeting them. "Nicholas, it's real, look at her," LaCroix replied, crying. "I know, may I?" Nick asked. "Always," LaCroix replied, placing her into his arms. "She's amazing, beautiful," Nick uttered. "Her name is Rebecca Clara LaCroix," LaCroix announced. "Beautiful name," Nick said. Nick carefully walked over to Molly showing her Rebecca and Molly took a turn holding her. "Oh, Lucien; she's heaven; Lucien, take her," Molly requested, as she placed the baby into his arms. "Nick, I don't feel right." "Pain?" Nick asked. "Not sure," Molly said. "Scott, tell Doc," Nick insisted. "I'll send him out." LaCroix said, returning to Jamie. Doc came running out and sat down on the coffee table to her. "What is it?" Doc asked. "Pressure, mainly," Molly answered. "Nicholas, put her feet up, it's all the excitement." Doc told them. "Scott, tea, please," Nick requested. "On its way," Scott said. "Nicholas, great job; well done; you're next." Doc said. "Two more weeks," Nick said, exhaling hard. "Yes," Doc said. "Jamie's all set, bed rest, my office tomorrow and enjoy the baby." "No problem there," Nick uttered, sighing. "Thanks, Doc." Doc quickly left the loft as Nick's phone rang and he hinted to Paul to answer it. Nick walked over towards the door and lightly knocked. LaCroix stepped out and embraced his son with every ounce of energy he had and more. "Nicholas, I'm so grateful..." LaCroix replied. "You're welcome, how are they?" Nick queried. LaCroix smiled, "They're sleeping." Paul quietly approached them, "Lucien; no words can tell you how thrilled we all are for you," "Thank you," Lacroix whispered. "What is it?" Nick asked. "Another body; we need to go," Paul told him. "Damn, let's tell Scott first." Nick said, angrily. "I'll tell him, see you outside," Paul said, glancing at LaCroix. "Nicholas, what is it?" LaCroix inquired. "We just delivered a baby; a life and now..." Nick hesitated in finishing. "Now, you must deal with death, ironic," LaCroix uttered, sighing. "Sadly, that's how life goes; go on; we'll see you at lunch time; she'll be here." "I know; Molly's beginning to feel her pressure, watch over her," Nick inclined to him. "Always," LaCroix replied, embracing his son. "Thank you, love you." Nick said, smiling. "Love you, too, son; take care." LaCroix said, joining Jamie in the bedroom. Nick walked over towards Molly kissing her belly and exited the loft and joined Paul inside of the car. They quickly headed for the alley that Paul informed him of and parked along the curb. They saw the blue lights flashing and yellow tape strung in front of the alleyway. They exited the car, walking towards Reese and Kathy. They noticed Nick's soiled clothes and they stood off to the side by the wall. "What happened to you?" Reese asked. "Oh, I didn't even notice; there was not time to call; Jamie delivered a short time ago; her water broke." Nick explained, briefly. "And?" Kathy inquired; eager to hear the great news. Nick smiled, proudly, "A girl; Rebecca Clara," "Wonderful; I'm thrilled," Kathy said. "That's great,Nick; let's handle this then go home to clean up." Reese said. "Sorry, I really didn't notice," Nick replied. "I understand, don't worry," Reese uttered. "Here are some gloves," Kathy indicated. "Thanks," Paul replied, sighing. They slipped their hands into their latex gloves and slowly approached the body; a female; identical to Stewart. Nick knelt down examining the bite and felt around to the base of the skull. Kathy silently tapped Nick's shoulder; he stood up to face her and she opened her hand showing him a business card from the Raven with LaCroix's name printed on it. "Nick, take this," Kathy whispered. "I was warned he would do this; Kathy..." Nick sighed, frustrated. "I know it wasn't your cousin, take it or they will take him." Kathy demanded, squeezing it into his hand. "Thank you," Nick said, putting it into his pant pocket. "Is it the same as Stewart?" Paul inquired. "Yes," Kathy answered. "I'll call you with the results." "Thanks, let's go back to my place; I need a clean up then station." Nick said, frustrated. "Let's go, Doc." Paul said, teasing him "Cute," Nick said, exhaling, nudging his side. They climbed into the car, heading back to Nick's loft for some lunch and for him to shower then Molly for tender loving care. They entered the loft seeing LaCroix holding Rebecca and humming softly to her with a wide smile. Paul went upstairs to Carla and Nick quietly approached, but noticed Molly sleeping on the couch. Nick smiled, "Hey, Dad; how's the family?" LaCroix exhaled, "Wonderful; perfect; is something wrong?" "Not really; I didn't notice my clothes before I left; I need a shower and clean clothes." Nick told him. "Nicholas, thank you..." LaCroix spoke, hesitating. "No need, anytime." Nick said, lightly, touching the baby's hand. LaCroix returned to Jamie to feed Rebecca and Nick entered the bathroom for a quick shower. He stepped out wrapping the towel around his waist and walked into the bedroom seeing Molly sitting on the bed with his clothes; smiling. Nick, slightly blushing, strolled up to her and kissed her passionately. "Hi!" Nick said. "Hi, miss me?" Molly inquired. Nick smiled; feeling aroused, "Totally," Molly sighed seductively, "Lunch," grabbing his towel. "You," Nick said. Molly pulled the towel from his body seeing his full erection and massaged him firmly. Nick moaned with every stroke and every wet kiss. His breathing became erratic and hard. He felt his knees buckling; she held him at his hips and applied a tighter grip. Nick felt his essence surging; she placed the towel on him as he ejaculated into it and whispered her name softly, shaking all over. Nick collapsed onto the bed lying across it embracing her and exhaled hard, smiling from his hot climax. "You okay?" Molly asked. "You're amazing; I'm always all right with you, and only you." Nick said, winded. "So, you're happy; content being married to me, like this and having no other?" Molly inquired, shying away. Nick sat up facing her directly, gazing into her sable brown eyes, "I love you; why would I, if I have the best right here, with me, carrying our babies; I only hunger for you and you are the most beautiful, sexy loving and caring woman here. I'm honored by you staying, knowing about me." "I love the man, husband and father before me, you're loving, caring, gentle, very handsome and delicious; I desire only you; I love you so much." Molly whispered, crying. Nick displayed his boyish grin, "Oh, honey; I love you, let's clean up and have lunch on the couch."" "Love you, too," Molly replied, hugging him. They kissed each other with every ounce of passion and beyond; Nick cleaned up and got dressed then escorted her to the couch, putting her feet up. Paul and Carla came down the stairs joining them and Scott served lunch also sitting with them. LaCroix quietly entered the living room sitting down next to Molly and exhaled in relief. "How's Jamie?" Nick asked. "She's fine; we go to the Doctor's tomorrow for the weight, length; all the formalities." LaCroix told them. "How do you feel?" Nick inquired. LaCroix smiled, "Numb," "I get that," Paul said. "Good, you have seriously earned it; its time to go, Bud; Scott, thank you for lunch; love you, darling." Nick said in one breath. "Bye, Love," Paul said to Carla, kissing her. "Be careful," Molly uttered into his ear. Nick kissed her soft, rosy cheek, "I will; I'll be home soon." "Take care," LaCroix replied, firmly. Nick, with Paul at his side, led the way out of the loft and outside to the car. Nick started the engine, backed up and headed for the station. Nick parked along the left side of the building and they entered the station seeing Reese waiting for them at Nick's desk. They walked towards him, and Nick warmed up his computer. "Report, guys." Reese ordered. "Joe Stonetree came to see me; we may have a lead on the pipe- bomb case." Nick said. "Nick, this came through," Lisa whispered, walking away. "What is it?" Paul queried. "Cap, your office, please," Nick requested. "Let's go," Reese said, escorting them in and closed the door behind them. "All right, start talking." "Well, Joe seems to feel his nephew, Danny, is the one setting the bombs. Apparently, he was fired without pay from the South End mail building. A woman accused him of sexual harrassment, but this file says something different." nick briefed them. "Paul, remember that woman you searched?" "Uhm---Maria Benson," Paul answered. "Why?" "It seems she has a record and a bad habit of it; she's done this before, at the West Side." "I see; she wants it; he refuses and she destroys them by filing charges and they get fired." Paul stated. "And ruined, not to be hired later," Nick added. "Damn," Reese said. "Where's Danny?" "My guess, hiding out. Joe said he likes arcades and the beach." Nick told him. "What about the other case?" Reese inquired, concerned. "Not much there, somebody playing tricks with a bad treat." Paul answered. "Great; let's find this Danny before someone gets hurt." Reese said. "Where are you two off to?" "Raven, then the lab." Nick responded. "How's the family doing?" Reese queried. "They're fine; first doctor visit tomorrow morning." Nick said. "You're next," Reese replied, slightly laughing. "Yep, she's already one centimeter, she's confined to bed." Nick said, sighing. "Just gice me the word and you're out for five weeks." Reese said, firmly. "I will, thanks, Cap." Nick replied, stretching his neck. Nick tapped Paul's arm, exiting Reese's office and out of the building, outside to the car. They climbed in and Nick drove to the Raven, parking out front. Adult: Mark of Mathews By: Cheryl T. Pillsbury They entered the club observing it was completely empty, except for Joshua behind the bar and they walked down the stairs sitting down on a stool. Joshua handed them each a bottle of ice-cold water then Scott strolled in from the backroom, joining them. "Wonderful thing you did, Nicholas," Scott commented to him. "Thanks; we have another body; a woman," Nick told him, not happy. "What?"Joshua asked, sensing betrayal. "I spoke with him, he vowed to refrain until tonight." "Why tonight?" Paul inquired, further. "He wants proof of Lucien being human." Joshua answered. "Why; he's forbidden." Nick shouted. "I told him that." Joshua said, trying to calm his nerves. "Why can't that past stay there; I don't want any part of it?" Nick screamed angrily. Paul grabbed hold of his arm, "Nick, please, remember Molly." Paul suggested, squeezing his arm. "I know; I'm sorry," Nick whispered. "It's cool," paul replied. "Joshua," Joshua sighed, "Yes," Paul printed towards the center pole, "Who's that?" "Damn it," Joshua uttered, snarling slightly. Joshua leaped over the bar standing directly in front of Nick and faced Philip with Fiery red eyes, "Joshua, are you now their protector?" Mathew queried. "Yes, you have brokem your word to me; you no longer maintain your honor, and your existence will be terminated." "By whom?" Mathews replied, scoffing at his gesture. "Well, the crusader himself, turned human; your master as well; I hear." "Yes," Nick answered. "Well, he speaks; where's Lucien LaCroix?" Mathews asked, demanding to know. "Away from you." Nick told him. Mathews started to make his way towards him; Joshua moved into his path, blocking him, "Paul; Nicholas, follow Scott outside, now." Joshua ordered. "But..." Nick uttered. "Nicholas; now; Scott, remove them." Joshua said, strongly, with a growl in his voice. "Let's go outside, please," Scott said, showing them to the stairwell. Scott escorted them up the stairs and stood on the sidewalk. Nick paced in sheer anger, but Paul's cell phone rang, "Coletti," "Hey, Paul; I'm ready," Kathy told him. "Thanks," Paul answered. "Nick," Nick, breathing hard, "Why can't we be left alone?" "Nick, Buddy; over here," Paul said, redirecting his attention. "That life you had is dead and gone; we were told to leave because we don't belong there; we belong here, in this world with our wives and the families we're creating." "Paul; Molly," Nick uttered, slightly scared. "Scott and Joshua are the protector's now; you and Lucien have been, let's say; fired." Paul told him. "Come on, Kathy called, let's go then Molly." "All right; Scott, I'm..." Nick started to apologize. "No need; Paul's right, consider the case closed." Scott said, smiling. "Let's go," Nick replied, calming down. Nick and Paul drove away heading for the Forensics building and Scott returned to Joshua inside of the Raven. He saw Joshua lying on the floor; not moving, but Mathews was no where in sight. Scott ran towards him rolling him over and saw the blood soaked shirt. "Joshua," Scott spoke softly. Joshua, fighting to speak, "He got away, need blood; protect Lucien and Nicholas." "Hold on," Scott said, running behind the bar and grabbed three pint jars of blood returning to Joshua. "Here you go, meet me at Nicholas' loft when you can." Scott ran out the back door jumping into the Mercedes and drove to the loft to warn Lucien. Scott parked near the elevator, riding upward and entered into the living room. He saw LaCroix snoozing on the couch, but the ladies were off resting; he could not see them. He quietly walked over sitting down in the chair and lightly tapped his arm, waking him up. LaCroix stretched his body, yawning then saw Scott and the fear in his eyes. "Where are the women?" Scott asked. "In their bedrooms resting; what's wrong?" LaCroix inquired. "Is it Nicholas?" "Physically; he's fine, but his emotional state; he's coming unglued." Scott informed him. "Oh my; go on," LaCroix said. Scott began to explain to LaCroix what took place at the raven with Philip Mathews and Joshua. He told him how Nick was handling it; not good, then the door opened with Nick and Paul entering the loft. Scott and LaCroix stood up greeting them and LaCroix requested to be alone with Nick. Paul went upstairs to Carla and Scott tended to Jamie and the baby. "Nicholas, we need to talk," LaCroix told him. "All right; I need to go then change my clothes, be right back." Nick answered. "All right," LaCroix replied, sighing. "Lucien, Jamie needs you for a moment," Scott said. "All right; Nicholas, come see me," LaCroix said. "Yeah," Nick shouted from the bathroom. LaCroix entered the bedroom seeing Jamie sitting in bed holding Rebecca and smiled. LaCroix sat down on the edge of the bed and laughed lightly. "Yes, darling, what can I do for my lovely ladies?" LaCroix inquired. "My very handsome husband and her father can untie the knot in my ribbon; she's hungry." Jamie requested. "All right, let's see," LaCroix replied, grinning, draping the ribbon aside. "Thank you, love," Jamie said, pulling her breast out to feed the baby."I still LaCroix watched the bonding, "Amazing," "I still can't believe it; she's really here and alive, a part of us, right here," Jamie expressed fondly. "I know," LaCroix whispered, reaching over stroking Rebecca's cheek then Jamie's. "You're next, darling," Jamie said, smiling warmly. "Lucien," Nick whispered from the dorrway. "All right; I need to talk to Nicholas first, then us when she's done." LaCroix suggested. "Can't wait, go on," Jamie said, gazing upon Rebecca feeding from her. LaCroix stood up kissing Jamie and escorted Nick over to the table sitting down. "Nicholas, you need to calm down; Scott told me what happened. He was concerned for you; I love and appreciate you watching over us, as I do for you, Molly and the twins, but you can not afford to make one mistake on the job." LaCroix expressed his concern. "He wanted to hurt you; our families," Nick said, upset. "We were brought back, can't they leave us alone?" "I see," LaCroix said, grinning, "Son, we were brought back for second change at life, but also with a purpose, keep both worlds from crashing." "I just hate being reminded of it." Nick mumbled, sniffing his tears back. LaCroix placed his hand upon Nick's upper back, comforting him, "Nicholas, we need that to keep us alert and strong to fight those who dare to cross it. Always protect the families, but remember your mission given to you six years ago." "I understand, it's hard at times," Nick said, calming down. "That's why we're here; sadly, Joshua was attacked and Mathews escaped." LaCroix told him. "Great," Nick said, frustrated. "And, and---speaking of hard, go see Molly; I have a bed date with Jamie if Rebecca's done. I love you, son; you're not alone, never." LaCroix said, with a devilish grin. Nick blushed, "Thank you, love you, too, father; time for dessert, later." "That's my boy; I taught you well." LaCroix said, proudly. "Come on," Nick stumbled into the bedroom seeing Molly reading a book, and he laid down by her side exhaling hard. Molly closed her book placing it on the nightstand and snuggled up close to his warm body. "Honey, what's wrong?" Molly queried. "Work is getting nuts, let's forget that. How about you; you okay?" Nick asked. "I'm fine, we're fine," Molly answered. "Anything I can do for you?" "I need to unwind; relax," Nick suggested. "Any ideas?" "Hmm, I can handle that," Molly replied, seductively, running her hand down into his lounge pants and gave him a tight squeeze. "No doubt; I really could use it right now." Nick expressed, breathing deeply. "I need you closer to me." Molly requested. Nick rolled over standing on his knees and held onto the headboard. Molly leaned on her pillows, massaged and savored every ounce of his hardness. Nick felt his muscles relaxing, the frustration fading, but his erection becoming harder and out of control. She pumped him, massaging his testicles; he began breathing erratic and moaned louder with every stroke; the sensation she created was overwhelming. His knuckles became blood red from her heat intensifying his; he uttered her name; she covered him with the towel and he whispered, 'faster; harder,' she complied and more. Suddenly, he felt his essence surging then exploding and repeated a few times leaning up against the headboard. Molly glanced upward and saw the ecstasy of his climax in his eyes and she felt his body quiver. Nick slowly laid down embracing her tight and they both enjoyed the heat and love. Molly slowly stroked his upper back and lightly kissed his chest then saw his loving blue eyes. "You okay?"Molly inquired. "Yes, thank you; increditable as always," Nick expressed, relaxing his breathing. "My pleasure," Molly replied, smiling. "How's Jamie doing?" "Fine, they're all in the next room," Nick told her. "How about I cook dinner and we watch a movie?" "Love, too, what's for dinner?" Molly asked. "Our favorite," Nick answered. Molly laughed lightly, "We just had that; what's for dinner?" "Funny; Alfredo," Nick uttered, warmly. "You're on, turn first then dinner." Molly suggested. "Okay, come on," Nick said, helping her out of bed. While they enjoyed some quiet family time; Paul had snuck out to another pipe-bomb explosion at Mason Avenue. Nick had finished cleaning up after their dinner; they retired to the couch, cuddling close and watched a comedy movie. LaCroix had placed Rebecca into her cradle at the foot of his bed and joined Jamie in bed. He snuggled into her arms, exhaling in relaxation and stroked her soft hair. "Look, belly almost gone," Jamie said. "My only concern is you and Rebecca." LaCroix said, laughing quietly. "What's so funny?" Jamie inquired. "Nothing funny really, I never thought this was possible, to be so happy, content and love." LaCroix replied. "Same here," Jamie said, happily. "Are you hungry?" LaCroix queried. "Nicholas cooked Alfredo, but I am tired." Jamie told him. LaCroix inhaled, "Sleep a bit and I'll join you later." "All right, but dessert before you do," Jamie inclined. "Always," LaCroix said, kissing her forehead. LaCroix slowly stood up off the bed and closed the door behind him as he left. He saw Nick on the couch alone, sitting in a daze. He walked over sitting down next to him and lightly slapped his thigh. "Nicholas, where's Molly?" LaCroix asked. "Resting," Nick answered, yawning. "Are you all right?" LaCroix inquired, concerned. Nick exhaled, "Just stress," "Everything will be fine," LaCroix told him. Suddenly, Paul entered the loft with Joshua, LaCroix and Nick stood up to greet them standing by the chair. "Where were you?" Nick asked. Paul hesitated, "Don't get mad, but there was another pipe- bomb at Mason Avenue." "I'm not; I'm not dealing at the moment. You were right; I'll do better. What happened?" Nick questioned. "Good; well, I have my own theory about this; I think she's doing this to cover herself, framing them." Paul suggested. "Me too; I think we need to visit her tomorrow." Nick replied. "My Buddy's back and we should go and search the arcade at the beach for Danny." Paul said. "Arcade first, I want him someplace safe then Maria Benson." Nick indicated. Joshua suddenly froze; moving away from them then jerked his head upward and saw Mathews hovering above the sky window, floated downward. He touched down by the couch; Paul and Scott covered LaCroix and Nick, allowing Joshua to handle this. "Philip Mathews; you have crossed the line; you will not display violence in this home." Joshua instructed him. "Whatever; I came to see if it's true, Lucien LaCroix, face me." Mathews demanded. "Lucien, stand by me," Joshua requested. "NO!" Nick shouted. "Shh---Nicholas, the girl's," LaCroix said. "Stay here with Paul; Scott, the girl's, please," "All right," Scott replied, slowly walking away. Paul held Nick as LaCroix walked towards Joshua standing along side of Joshua and stared at Mathews. Sweat beaded upon his forehead and Mathews, as well as Joshua, could smell the fear emanating from his body. Adult: Mark of Mathews By: Cheryl T. Pillsbury "I sense your temperature rising, the water upon your flesh and your heartbeat racing; it is true; Nicholas, too." Mathews uttered, stunned. "Yes," Nick said, moving away from Paul surrounding his father with his arms. "The bond, contentment between you two; uncanny." Mathews said. "I don't know you and don't wish to; if I wronged you in another life, my apologies." LaCroix replied, terrified. "Lucien, Rebecca's crying." Scott said. "Coming," LaCroix said in return. "Who's Rebecca; your wife?" Mathews questioned. LaCroix moved closer, "Jamie is my wife, Rebecca is my daughter; you stay away." LaCroix quickly walked towards the door joininghis family; Nick did the same and Paul went upstairs to be with Carla. Scott walked back to Mathews standing along side of him. Mathews stared at Joshua and Scott handed him a wooden stake. "Mathews, you have two choices; flee here, never to return or I will personally serve you a hot wooden stake." Joshua ordered for him to consider. "He is human; I accept it; I will flee here never to return." Mathews answered, grinning. "One warning; I even smell you; you're history; understood." Joshua insisted with a snarl. "Understood," Mathews scoffed, taking to flight up and out the sky window. "Thank you, Joshua; I will inform them, it's over, please return to the Raven." Scott requested. "I don't think it's over, not yet; you're welcome; safe journey." Joshua said, flying off and vanished into the night. Scott walked over towards the two doors, knocked lightly and they were opened, "Mathews is gone, never to return." "Great, thanks, Scott." Nick said. "Thank you, Scott; night." LaCroix replied, softly. "Goodnight, gentlemen," Scott said, walking away. "Nicholas, are you all right?" LaCroix asked. Nick sighed, tired, "Yeah, I'll be fine; see you in the morning." "All right; night, Nicholas." LaCroix replied, softly. "Night, Lucien." Nick mumbled, closing the door. They slowly prepared for bed, drifting off to sleep and rested from a horrid day. The sun shone over Toronto, peeking through the blinds and rolled up the blankets on Nick and Molly's bed. Nick rolled onto his back stretching and opened his eyes. He saw his sleeping wife, sound asleep. He carefully kissed her forehead, crawled out of bed and grabbed some clean clothes exiting the bedroom. He strolled into the bathroom to clean up and got dressed for work. He then walking into the kitchen preparing a fast breakfast and a hot pot of coffee. he placed it down when a knock echoed from the door; he walked over opening the door and saw Joe standing there; scruffy looking and stressed. Nick escorted him to the couch, made him a cup of coffee and they sat down on the couch, relaxing, or trying to. "Hey, Joe," Nick said. "Hey, Nick; any word yet?" Joe asked. Nick sighed, "It appears Danny isn't the only guilty here; it seems she's done this before." "What?" Joe queried, stunned. "She's framing him, that..." "Shh; you can't be in this; you know how it goes, remember." Nick told him. "Yeah, yeah; sorry," joe said, apologizing. "I understand; we lose it when our families are targeted." Nick replied, seeing LaCroix standing in the distance smiling. "So true," LaCroix whispered. "It seems she was transferred from the West Side to the South End; she targeted Danny; he refused and she's getting even. Paul and I are visiting there today, but the arcades first at the Pier to find Danny. I want him in safe-house." Nick explained. "What happened at West Side?" Joe inquired. "Not enough evidence; she covered her tracks up good and tight. I'm looking for that other target so we can place them together and put her away." Nick answered. "Morning, gents," Paul said, sitting in the chair. "Hi," Nick said, slightly worried by the grin. "You're gonna love me," Paul inclined to him. "Why?" Nick asked, scared. Paul grinned, "Well, I did a search on that Benson lady; I found the other target, Gary Boisvert." "You're right, I do, but I belong to Molly, sorry." Nick replied, chuckling. "Told ya so; let's eat up; we have a very busy day ahead." Paul suggested. "Joe, you go home, if he calls, bring him to the Raven and ask for Scott or Joshua, that's the safe-house." Nick told him. "Don't worry." "Thanks, Nick," Joe said, smiling then quickly lft the loft. "Let me see Molly then we'll make our rounds, call Reese and tell him; Lucien, a moment," Nick requested. "Done," Paul answered, pulling out his cell phone. Nick walked with LaCroix towards his bedroom door, "Lucien," "Go and do what's needed, she'll be fine; we'll all be fine." LaCroix said. "I want to apologize for my..." Nick replied. "For caring and loving us; no need, go on; I'll make them some tea, see her first so she don't worry too much." LaCroix told him, embracing him tight. Nick smiled entering the bedroom and saw her just waking up, "Hi," "Hi," she whispered. "How do you feel this morning?" he inquired. Molly exhaled, "After last night, still riding," Nick laughed, "Good; I need to go to work, Lucien's making tea." "All right, help me up, bathroom run," Molly requested. Nick helped her out of bed hugging each other with a very hot passioante kiss. She reached around a he turned to walk her out; she gave him a huge grop and he smiled. Nick grinned escorting her to the bathroom, kissed her and whispered seductive gestures into her ear. Nick walked by LaCroix rubbing his upper back, grabbed Paul by the arm and they rode down in the elevator outside to the car. They climbed in and they headed for the arcade on Pier three. Nick parked out front; they climbed out walking around inside of the arcade, wall-to-wall of games, a prize booth to the far left corner and a backdoor to their right, which led them outside on the boardwalk. Not too many people, still too early, but the beach was packed. Suddenly, Sam, Nick's source or snitch if you will, grabbed Nick's arm pulling at him. "Sam," Nick said. "P---P---Please, hurry; he's hurt," Sam pleaded, pulling him along. They ran following him to the pier; underneath and they saw Danny lying on a blanket, unconscious and bleeding from a gunshot wound. Paul called for help and Sam knelt down at Nick's side. "What happened?" Nick asked, caring for the wound. "He came h---here, l---last night; he said s---s---she hurt me and to c---call you." Sam told him. "Thanks, Sam; I owe you big time." Nick said. "I d---don't mind; got a j---job; here at the arcade; t---thanks to you." Sam said. "Fantastic; Paul I need your hanky," Nick shouted. "Here you go, medics are here." Paul told him. "You drive the car and follow us; I'm riding with him. Here's Joe's number, tell him." Nick said. "Done," Paul replied, dialing up Joe. The medics came running in, immediately took over, Nick identified himself and they ran back to the ambulance riding to the hospital at top speed. They ran inside following the gurney; Nick told Paul to stay with him and he would wait for Joe when he arrives. Reese and Jack walked down the hall standing in front of Nick. "What happened?" Reese asked. "We went to the arcade to search for Danny; my source came running and took us to him under Pier three; he was shot then we called for help, the ambulance arrived and we're here." Nick reported to him. "Where's Paul?" Reese inquired. "With Danny in OR; I'm waiting for Joe; Cap, Danny's being framed." Nick told him. "Stay on it, nail her ass," Reese ordered. "Yes, sir." Nick answered. "Jack, you stand guard; he's our evidence and witness." Reese ordered him, directly. "Yes, sir." Jack said. "Nick, where's Danny?" Joe asked, running towards him. "Calm down; he's fine; he's in OR5; he was shot." Nick told him. "What?" Joe queried, horrified. The doctor, dressed in green, approached them, "Detective Nicholas Knight," "I'm Detective Knight; this is Danny's Uncle; Joe Stonetree," Nick announced. "He was shot through the abdomen; we stablized him and he'll be here for a few then we'll move him to ICU. He lost alot of blood and it was infected. he explained. "Will he be all right?" Joe asked, winded. The doctor sighed, "Not sure; it was bad, you can stay with him." "Doc, can I have the bullet?" Nick inquired. "I thought you might; here you go," the doctor said, handing him a bag walking away. "Thanks," Nick whispered. "Damn, .357 magnum," "Ouch," Paul uttered. "Where to?" Reese asked. "Drop this off and meet Maria, stir up the nest." Nick said. "Keep me posted." Reese ordered, watching them run down the hall. They exited the hospital climbing into the car and headed for the Forensics building. Paul ran inside giving Kathy the bullet and returned to the car. Nick drove to the South End mail building and parked out front. They entered the mail building, approached the front desk requesting the Postmaster and patiently waited. A middle-aged gentleman came walking through the doorway and greeted them with a hand shake. "Hello, I'm, Ben Peterson; you are?" he asked. "I'm Detective Knight; my partner Detective Coletti; may we speak privately?" Nick inquired. "My office, follow me," Ben said. They followed him into the back of the building, but Nick caught a glimpse of Maria in the corner; she winked and smiled; he shied away closing the door. Ben walked around leaning against his desk and they stood in front of him, but Paul glanced out the window watching this woman glaring at Nick. "Is there a problem?" Ben inquired. "We're here because of the file placed to us; sexual harrassment between a, Maria Benson and Danny Tenore." Nick informed him. "We found enough to terminate Danny." Ben answered. "Like what?" Paul queried. "Pictures, witnesses who saw Danny touch her." Ben replied. "Did you know this happened once before, but at West Side involving Maria?" Nick asked. "No, I didn't," Ben replied, surprised. "May we speak to Maria, in your presence of course?" Nick queried. "Sure, one moment," Ben requested. Ben walking around them opening the door and waved Maria over; the woman glaring at Nick. She strolled instanding next to Nick and Ben returned to his desk. "Maria; these are Detectives; they're here about your complaint on Danny." Ben told her. "That's been resolved, has it not?" Maria said, smiling at Nick. Nick exhaled, nervous, "Yes it has, we were checking at West Side." "Yes, I solved that also, you are?" Maria inquired. "Detective Nick Knight," he announced. "I see," Maria mumbled. Nick cleared his throat, "We can file this case closed?" "Yes, thank you." Maria whispered. "Okay," Nick said, leaning towards Paul, "we'll be in touch with you to sign the final papers." "All right," Maria said, walking out, brushing up against Nick's arm. "We won't keep you, we'll be in touch," Paul replied, pulling Nick by the arm. "Let's go." As they left, Maria had her eyes glued to Nick until the door closed and they climbed into the car. Nick exhaled hard, shaking all over and coughed slightly. "You okay?" Paul asked. "I feel like I need a shower; she was all over me with those eyes; I can see where Danny ran," Nick explained. "Yeah, I saw that," Paul replied. "Let's head over to Kathy then your place for lunch." "Yeah; I need a hug, a clean one," Nick uttered. "Me too," Paul agreed. Nick started the engine heading for the Forensics building and parked out front. Adult: Mark of Mathews By: Cheryl T. Pillsbury They ran up the stairs entering Kathy's lab and saw her leaning over the woman's body. She sighed, pulling up the white sheet and covered her pale face. They quietly walked towards her and Nick lightly touched her arm. Kathy jumped, jerking her head up to face him, "Hey, guys," "You okay?" Nick asked. "Not sure; this is, or was, Andrea Gribbon, thirty-one years old, brown hair and eyes. Cause of Death; bled to death, not a single ounce of blood in her." Kathy reported, agitated. "Allen back yet?" Paul asked. "Yeah, he's fine," Kathy replied. "I just hate this case, that's all." "I hear you," Nick answered. "The pipe-bomb case has a new twist." Kathy told him. "Really, go on," Paul replied, his curosity peeking. "Well, the first one was a very common home-made, but the second one had pellets in it; gold ones." Kathy informed them. "Gold ones," Paul replied, puzzled. "Yeah, and we found a print, a palm print at the base of the box; Rubert has it; he'll call," Kathy briefed them. "Let's hope it's her," Paul replied. "I'm hungry," "Me too, come on; thank you, Kathy." Nick agreed, caressing Kathy's forearm. They walked out of the lab, down the stairs and stepped into the car. They headed for Nick's loft for lunch and some loving hugs to calm their nerves. They entered the loft seeing LaCroix and Scott setting the table for lunch, Paul ran upstairs to Carla for comfort, but LaCroix saw Nick's face. "Nicholas, what happened?" LaCroix asked. "Uhm---ah---I need Molly; later, please," Nick pleaded, upset. "All right," LaCroix answered, hesitating. Nick walked towards the door seeing Molly sitting on the bed, looking at pictures and she heard the door noticing him. He approached her; she stood up and he fell into her arms. She felt his pain and she rubbed his back to comfort him. "Honey, what happened?" Molly asked. "Get into bed; I'll tell you; I need to be held.' Nick replied, lying next to her. Paul came down the stairs fixing his clothes and shouted out LaCroix's name. LaCroix went to him and saw the concern written in his eyes. "What's wrong with Nicholas?" LaCroix asked. "He's with Molly?" Paul inquired. "Yes, Paul," LaCroix replied, feeling his anger growing. "He's busy for awhile, let's go sit down." Paul suggested. Paul walked with LaCroix towards the table sitting down and he faced LaCroix sighing loudly. "Paul," LaCroix insisted, strongly. "We were at the South end mail building talking with the Postmaster and Maria was there. Her glare was frightening. She practically raped him withthat glare and he's feeling whay most woman feel after that, dirty, defenseless." Paul explained. "Oh, God," LaCroix uttered, horrified, covering his mouth. "Yeah, so we came here to relax and he needed Molly." Paul replied. Nick strolled out of the bedroom, walking into the bathroom then exited it sitting at the table very close to LaCroix's side; almost sitting on his lap. Paul excused himself to get some water for their lunch. LaCroix reached out embracing him and Nick let out a loud moan, sniffing a tear back and faced him. "Nicholas," LaCroix uttered, worried. "I know how women feel; that was..." Nick started to say. "Scary; I'm sure; poor Danny," LaCroix said, as Paul returned. "You got the mental glare; imagine the physical attack," Paul inclined. "Sickening," "So true," Nick answered, relaxing. A knock echoed from the door, Nick shouted, 'come in,' and Allen wlatzed in, practically running towards them, greeting each one separately. "Hi," Nick said, happily. "Missed you, guys; Lucien, the baby, how's Jamie?" Allen inquired. LaCroix lightly laughed, "She's fine and we have a lovely daughter, Rebecca Clara," "Beautiful name, can I see her, please?" Allen pleaded, asking. "Come on, they're sleeping," LaCroix said, escorting Allen to show off his daughter. "Hey, Bud; you okay?" Paul quietly inquired. Nick paused, "Yeah, i think so; she needs to go away; she's too dangerous to be out here." "Agreed; I wasn't the target, but I felt scared." Paul said. "Let's eat; I'm hungry," Nick suggested strongly. "After lunch; we need to check in and fill in the file before Reese has a farm." Paul told him. "Okay," Nick said. Allen walked over sitting down by Nick, and they watched Jamie and LaCroix, carrying Rebecca out from the bedroom. "Ah---the family portrait," Paul replied, beaming. "So true; we're off to the doctor's; Scott and Carla will be here with Molly." LaCroix said. "What about me?" Molly inquired. "Molly, your suppose to be off your feet," Nick uttered, standing up, waling towards her. "Lucien, I want all the info later, be careful." "We will; take care," LaCroix said, as they left the loft. "I need the bathroom first then some tea and lunch; we're starving." Molly told him. "All right, you use the bathroom and I'll fix up the couch." Nick suggested. "Great," Molly replied. Molly waddled off to the bathroom while Nick prepared her lunch and they met at the couch. He helped her to sit, putting her feet up and served her lunch on a silver tray. Nick sat down on the coffee table and smiled. "That's nice to see," Molly said. "Thanks to you and the tender loving care." Nick replied, grinning with a slight blush to his cheeks. "You're welcome, anytime, anywhere," Molly suggested. "Uh-oh, later," Nick said, inhaling, whistling for Paul and Allen. "Be careful," Molly whispered. "I will; love you tons," Nick said, kissing her passionately. "Hmm, love you tons and more," she replied in return, pinching his butt. "Definitely later," Nick said. They left the loft riding down, outside to the car. They climbed in and Nick headed for the station parking out front. They walked up the stairs heading for Nick's desk where they saw Reese waiting for them; not happy. "Hey, Cap," Nick said. "Something wrong?" "Have anything to link her to the pipe-bomb?" Reese asked. "Not yet, almost; why?" Paul asked, fearing the worst. They surrunded Nick, "Danny died a short time ago; now it's murder." Reese ordered. "Damn it," Nick screamed, kicking his chair. "All right, sit; chill," Allen told him. "Man, shit," Nick hissed in anger. "Hey," Paul said, shocked. Allen exhaled, "He's pissed," "Poor, Joe; he didn't deserve this," Nick said. "I'm butting in, what have you got so far?" Allen told him. "Two pipe-bombs; home-made, but the second one had gold pellets in it and she got a palm print, which Rubert has." Paul briefed him. "Gold pellets; Nick, move your ass, come on," Allen insisted. Allen quickly sat down began typing, dancing upon the keyboard and the monitor scrambled. Suddenly, it stopped on an old file with the same evidence and labeled; unsolved. "I'm good; look here; here's that other case you found; it also had gold pellets, but her name then was Emily Johnson and we have a print on file. Here's the other target, a, Gary Boisvert; oh, look; he lives on the North End." Allen said, literary jumping in his seat. "If we match the rpints and pellets," Nick inclined, happily. "Her ass is nailed for destruction of Federal Property and the murder of Danny Tenore." Paul replied, savoring the moment. "Let's go see this, Gary; maybe he can identify her; let's print out a picture," Allen said. "I love my job." "The Three Musketeers ride once again." Paul announced proudly. "And we are smokin' hot." Nick added. "Feeling better?" Allen asked. "With you two, always, yeah, we'll see Joe later." Nick requested. "Done," Paul uttered, slapping Nick's upper back. They exited the building running down the stairs and jumped into the car. Nick drove to the North End and parked in the driveway. They walked up the path; Nick knocked on the door and a young man, dark haired and slight tan, appeared and stepped outside. "Gary Boisvert?" Sllen inquired. "Yes," Gary responded. "I'm Special Agent Allen Straton of the FBI; these are Detectives Coletti and Knight; we need to talk to about Emily Johnson." Allen replied. "I rather not," Gary said, shying away and sat down on the steps' "Gary; she's doing it again; we have evidence and we need you to testify so we can put her away for good." Allen said. "I can't, have the other guy do it." Gary pleaded, shaking. "We can't; he's dead," Allen told him. Nick stepped up, "Is this her?" "Oh, God; yes," Gary whispered, slightly crying. Nick sat down at his side. "I know how it feels, but we need to put her away." "You don't know," Gary said, angrily. "Yeah, I do; I met her and she glared me into sheer panic," Nick told him. "But if you help us, we'll place you into safe-house until she's gone." "You saw her?" Gary inquired. "Yeah; she's using the name Maria Benson." Nick answered. "Will you help us put her away?" "I need to talk to my father first." Gary whispered. "All right; here's my card, call me anytime." Nick said. "Okay, thanks," Gary said, standing up and walked back inside of the house. They walked towards the car climbing in and Nick drove to Joe's home. They slowly walked up the path and saw Joe sitting in a chair outside and appeared distant; destroyed with red eyes from endless tears. They quietly walked over standing by him, but sat down next to Joe. "Joe; you all right?" Nick asked. "She killed my nephew; no I'm not," Joe answered. "Is there anything we can do?" Nick inquired. "Who's this?" Joe queried. "Allen Straton, FBI; Joe Stonetree; my former Captain and good friend." Nick said. "Hey," allen uttered. "Hello; put her away Nick; put her permanently away." Joe said, angrily. "We will, Joe; we will," Nick said. "Call me, okay." "Yeah, sure," Joe mumbled. They walked off the porch down the feew steps walking towards the car. They dropped Allen off at the lab to be with Kathy and he drove home to his family. They rode up to Nick's loft entering the living room; Paul joined Carla at the table and Nick flopped onto the couch next to Molly. "What is it?" Molly asked. Nick exhaled, "Danny died earlier." "Poor, Joe," Molly whispered. "Are you hungry?" "No, just worn out," Nick replied. "Let's go lie down and rest," Molly suggested. "Bathroom first and I'll join you," Nick said, standing up and helped her up. Nick made a quick stop in the spare bathroom then followed Molly into the bedroom and closed the door. Nick quickly changed into his night clothes and they laid down on the bed, snuggled in each other's arms. Molly could sense his pain, the stress and pressure he was under. "How is Joe holding up?" Molly inquired. Nick yawned, "He's all right," Molly leaned up to see his blue eyes, "What can I do to ease your pain?" "Just hold me, if that's all right," Nick requested. "Just fine, hold on tight, and just let it go." Molly told him. Nick cradled into her arms and softly cried. She held him tight, massaging his back and stroked his golden hair until they fell off to sleep. Adult: Mark of Mathews By: Cheryl T. Pillsbury LaCroix had changed and placed Rebecca into her cradle for the night, or he hopes then joined Jamie in bed. He laid back then Jamie quickly sat upon his knees; he smiled. "Sweetheart, I would love to, but we have five weeks and a few days to go yet." LaCroix replied, hesitating, feeling aroused. "I know honey; I'm counting, but it's been months since I could sit here see you and do this." Jamie replied, grinning. She laid on top of his legs, slowly pulling the string on his lounge pants and exposed him. She looked, gazed and perhaps admired it. LaCroix, feeling anxious, looked down at her and inhaled, feeling his arousal getting harder. "Love, what are you doing?" LaCroix asked. "This is where it all began with Rebecca," Jamie said. "Yes, and you as well," LaCroix said, laughing. "True, now hold on to the sheet, for the ride of all rides." Jamie told him. "Uh-oh," LaCroix replied, slightly nervous. Jamie placed the tip of her tongue into the crease and slowly went up to the tip of the head. LaCroix let out a moan, his hardness was full and pulsating. She firmly massaged his testicles tasting him one side then the other. He dug his fingers into the sheet, holding on, feeling every moist stroke and moaned louder each time. She grabbed hold of him, pumping him with a tight grip, he felt his arousal going out of control, breathing erratic and uttered her name, speaking, 'faster, harder,' she complied and more. She dropped the towel on him, gave him every ounce of energy she had and pumped him until he felt his essence explode. He groaned, body shook speaking her name and rolled into his side curling up into the fetal position, breathing hard, sweating all over. Jamie laid by him, smiled, "How was that?" "I surrender," LaCroix uttered, completely winded. "Got ya," she whispered. "I love you," he replied, embraced her tight. Jamie giggled, "Love you, too, darling." They savored their climax slowly drifting off to sleep, with one or two feedings in between. Rain began falling from the darken sky, soft rumbles of thunder, the raindrops tapping the windows and Molly woke up to the sound of the storm outside. She glanced over seeing Nick lying there, peacefully sleeping; she lightly touched his chest moving towards his stomach and played with the string on his lounge pants. He woke up turning slightly placing his hand upon her upper back then stroked her cheek and smiled. Nick placed her hand upon his arousal, whispered, 'please.' She in return did the same to her, 'touch me.' They passionately massaged one another riding to a very hot climax, embracing each other, exhaling hard form their heightened ecstasy. "You all right?" Nick inquired, winded. Molly smiled, wide, "Yes, you?" "Always, very intense and very nice," Nick told her. "Wwhat's your agenda today?" Molly asked. "Work, unfortunately," Nick answered. "Let's shower and have breakfast." "Turns first then yes," Molly replied, happily. Nick stumbled out of bed walking around helping Molly up, walked towards the bathroom; each took turns then showered and cleaned up. They exited the bathroom, Molly sat down on the couch while Nick prepared a hot breakfast and coffee. Jamie quietly snuck out of the bedroom waving Nick over and showed him to look inside of bedroom. Lying in bed was LaCroix with Rebecca snuggled up against his body and his hand rested on her belly. Nick quietly walked in and sat down on the bed. He reached over touching her tiny toes, gazing upon the small miracle and lightly shook LaCroix's hip. LaCroix opened his eyes seeing his sleeping daughter then Nick and the huge grin on his face. "Something wrong?" LaCroix asked, half asleep. Nick exhaled, "No, something perfect; how are you?" "Tired, but great," LaCroix answered. "Glad to hear it; breakfast is ready," Nick replied. "Hmm," LaCroix mumbled, falling back to sleep. "Let him sleep; I'll place Rebecca into her cradle and join you." Jamie replied, softly. "All right, it's in the living room." Nick told her. "Okay," Jamie said. Nick looking up at Jamie, "May I?" Jamie smiled, "Sure; Nicholas, she's your niece and godchild, anytime." "Thanks," Nick said, cauitously picked he up, cradling her into his arms. Nick stood up stunned, looking at her. Molly appeared in the doorway and saw him then shed a tear or two. She slowly walked in and stood by him. "She's so pretty," Molly said. "Hmm, uh-oh..." Nick uttered. "What is it?" Jamie asked. "She needs a change," Nick told her. "All right, lay her down," Jamie instructed him. "Can I do it?" Nick inquired. Jamie laughed slightly as LaCroix looked on, "Sure," Jamie handed him all the items to change her messy diaper. He was a little nervous but got the task done and placed Rebecca into her cradle; Jamie cleared off the bed and LaCroix stood up walking towards him hugging him proudly. "Very nicely done," LaCroix commented. "Let her sleep; we'll clean up and join you." "Great," Nick whispered. "Nick, I---uhm---my back," Molly tried to say. "Come on," Nick said. Nick escorted her to the couch sitting down and he leaned behind her massaging her back. She then placed her feet up and he joined her placing her feet onto his lap. "All right?" Nick inquired. "Yes, thank you,"Molly said, exhaling relieved. Nick smiled, "Anytime," LaCroix and Jamie walked in joining them for a light breakfast. "Molly, you all right?" LaCroix inquired. Molly sighed, bored, "Yes, baby B still making its presence known." "One more week to be safe, another week till the end." Nick said, eagerly. "Then you'll be doing diapers, feedings, etc., double time." Jamie replied. "So true," Molly said. Paul and Carla made their way down walking up and applauded Nick, "My Buddy, changing diapers, so domestic," "You're next," Nick told him. "Can't wait," Paul answered. Carla stunned, "Really?" "Uh-oh," Paul uttered, slightly nervous. "You did it now, sadly, time to work," Nick said, as the phone rang, "Knight," "Alley behind the Raven; the co-owner is there." Reese told him. "Thanks," Nick answered. "Got to go; love you, darling." "Love you, too," Molly said, kissing him. "Lucien, a private moment," Nick requested. "Sure," LaCroix said. Nick escorted Paul and LaCroix to the door, "A body in the alley behind the Raven; Scott's there." "He didn't leave," LaCroix said, shaken by the news. "Seems so," Nick said. "I'll call you," "Take care," LaCroix replied. LaCroix returned to the ladies while Nick and Paul left the loft riding down then outside and climbed into the car. He quickly drove to the Raven parking out front. Nick and Paul walked towards the back of the alley, seeing officer's all around, yellow tape and camera's flashing. They saw Kathy examining the body, Scott and Reese by the backdoor. "Scott, what happened?" Nick asked. "You know him?" Reese inquired. "He's my cousin," Nick told him. Scott inahled, surprised, "I was placing the trash into the dumpster and that is when I saw him then I reported it." "Thanks, Mr. James; Nick, join us when your done." Reese ordered. "Yes, sir." Nick said. "Nicholas; Mathews broke his vow," Scott told him. "Does Joshua know?" Nick inquired. "Yes," Scott responded. "Close down until Mathews has been destroyed. You can stay with us." Nick told him. "All right," Scott said, returning to the club. Nick walked over towards Kathy and the others glancing at the scene. "Hey, Nick; same as the others," Kathy informed him. "No doubt," Nick replied, frustrated. "But I think I may have something new on the other case, come by, Rubert is faxing his results over." Kathy told them. "Yes," Paul replied, ecstatic. "Cool down, Bud; time to check in." Nick said. They walked towards the car climbing in and Nick drove to the station parking out front. They entered the building seeing Reese waiting for them, Nick excused himself entering the men's room and Paul walked into Reese's office. About ten minutes later, Nick joined them and closed the door behind him sitting down next to Paul. "Anything new?" Reese questioned them. "We spoke with the other target/victim from the West Side mail building; still waiting for him, but he did identify Emily Johnson as Maria Benson." Paul reported. "Kathy wants us later; she said Rubert's faxing the results to her, check out the West Side building, lunch, then Kathy." Nick added. "Show Maria's picture around, keep me posted." Reese ordered. "Yes, Cap." Nick answered. "How's the family?" Reese inquired. "Getting bigger, Molly's starting back pain," Nick said. "Finish this case, then desk duty at home until Molly's healthy enough for you to return." Reese insisted. "Thanks, Cap; I appreciate it." Nick said. "But let us know when and what, got it." Reese ordered. "I will; let's go," Nick replied. They exited Reese's office walking out of the building and bumped into Allen. They greeted each other warmly and stood by Nick's car. "Hey, Bud," Nick said. "Hey, guys, where are you off to?" Allen asked. "West Side mail building then my place for lunch," Nick said. "Mind if I tag along?" Allen inquired. "Please, after this we won't see him for at least five weeks, at least, here anyway." Paul told him. "Not like Jamie yet, but she's one centimeter and she's having back pain." Nick briefed them. "Warning signs," Paul said. "But we need one more week to have healthy lungs in them." Nick explained. "Let's roll," Paul suggested. They climbed into the car, Nick started the engine and they headed for the West Side mail building. Nick pulled up parking out front and they stepped out from the car. They entered the building walking up to the mail clerk and requested the Postmaster's presence. A few moments later, a gentleman, about six feet, black-grayish hair, approached them and shook hands. "I'm Larry Zouls, the Postmaster; you are?" Larry inquired. "I'm Detective Nick Knight; my partner, Detective Paul Coletti and Special Agent Allen Straton of the FBI; may we speak in private?" Nick queried. "Follow me, please," Larry requested. He escorted them through the doorway to the first office on their right and closed the door. They gathered around his desk and sat down, but Larry appeared nervous. "Is there a problem?" Larry inquired. "Do you remember this woman?" Paul asked. Larry took the photo examined it and his eyes widen, "Yes, Emily Johnson; she was transferred to the South End about a year ago." "We have the complaint she filed, but why did she transfer?" Nick asked. "She moved there; a new beginning," Larry replied. "Do you have that address?" Allen asked. "Yes, one moment," Larry requested. He searched his computer and printed it out for them, "Here you go." "Thanks," Allen replied, politely. "Are we in trouble; we did terminate him?" Larry inquired. "She's now at the South End under the name Maria Benson; does it sound solved to you?" Allen questioned. They quickly left his office walking outside and climbed into the car. Nick headed for home and for the family. Adult: Mark of Mathews By: Cheryl T. Pillsbury They rode up in the elevator; they saw everyone at the table except for Molly. Nick questioned LaCroix on her whereabouts and Nick entered the bedroom seeing her lying down with a pillow under her legs and reading some file from the Gallery. Nick snuck over sitting down by her side and slowly pulled the file from her hand. "Molly, you need to rest, what's wrong?" Nick inquired. "I'm tired, bored, feel like a whale and my back hurts, and I feel like you're being neglected; fat, ugly..." she replied, upset. "Whoa, honey; you're beautiful to me, to all of us, bored and tired; I can understand that, your bed stricken. Mostly; I'm not neglected, you take excellent care of us, perfectly. That's not fat and ugly, that's the rest of our family." Nick told her, warmly. "You're sweet, but..." Molly said, shying away. "All true, darling," Nick said. "I love you; I'm very much in love with you, my love grows for you every second." Molly starts to cry, "Oh, Nick," "Honey, it's okay; it's the hormone rush," Nick said, smiling, "but I do have some good news to share." "What's that?" Molly asked. sniffing her tears back. Nick handed her his hanky, "When this case is closed; I have the next five weeks off; its paperwork at home; like you." "Really?" Molly inquired, beaming happily. "Yes; I will do paperwork from home for the next five weeks." Nick said, clearly. "Oh, Nick," Molly replied, crying still. "Babe, how about some tea with honey and lunch; Allen's here." Nick told her. "Perfect, help me up," Molly suggested. "Always," Nick said, proudly. Nick lovingly escorted Molly into the living room seeing Allen and they hugged each other as Allen rubbed her belly. Nick helped her to the couch putting her feet up and sat down under them. LaCroix and Scott served lunch and they enjoyed the tender moment with creating new memories. "Lucien; the run down on Rebecca," Nick requested. "Rebecca Clara LaCroix, born July 27, 2006 at eleven-fifteen in mid-morning, eight pounds and two ounces, twenty-one inches long." LaCroix proudly announced. "Big baby," Allen replied. "Healthy and strong; when the twins arrive and she has regained her strength, her and Nicholas will become her godparents or guardians, if you will," LaCroix inclined. "Really," Molly replied, surprised. "For the first born, yes," LaCroix said, looking at Nick. Nick stood up placing her feet down, walked over and embraced his father, "Thank you," "You're welcome," LaCroix replied, grinning. "Well, we have chosen my brother to help, but the primary godparents or guardians, Nick," Molly suggested. "Are you and Jamie." Nick replied, happily. "Thank you," LaCroix said, warmly touched. Paul's cell phone rang, "Coletti," "Hey, Paul; Kathy, everything is in." she told him. "On our way," Paul said, hanging up. "Nick, say goodbye now," "Goodbye; where am I going?" Nick asked. "Very funny, time to work, close this, so you can play for the next month or so," Paul told him, jokingly. "Ha---ha. bye, love; be careful." Nick said, kissing her. Nick led the way with Paul and Allen at his side riding down then outside towards the car. They climbed in, Nick backed up and headed for the Forensics building. Nick parked out front; they exited the car running up the stairs and saw Kathy writing in a file leaning over the slab; using it as as a desk. They grinned as Allen tip-toed over standing behind her and gave her a grope with his body. Kathy straightened her back, eyes closed and reached behind her touching him. Paul cleared his throat and Nick just laughed. "That won't stop them; before you two continue on, results first then he's yours." Nick requested. "His name was Elliot Rankin, thirty-two years old; cause of death; bled to death and I found the reason for the bite at the base of the skull." Kathy reported. "That is?" Paul inquired. "The brain fluid is gone also; I checked the others, same loss there as well, myth has it, its what keeps us youthful." Kathy explained. "Myth goes, if you were brought across late in life; this would restore your youthful appearance; you drain the blood and the essence surrounding the brain.." Nick briefed to them. "Whoa, anything on Maria Benson?" Paul aked. "Here's your file; the print, everything identical; Emily and Maria are one in the same." Kathy said, ecstatic. "Awesome, now to find her." Nick said. "All right; let's roll, continue on you two; I'm sure they won't mind." Paul replied, chuckling. "Get out," Allen shouted, showing them out of the lab. They exited the lab lauhing as Allen returned to Kathy for some love and they climbed into the car heading fot the Raven, to check on Scott. Nick pulled up out front parking the car, they stepped out and entered the club. A few people sitting down, eating their lunch, soft piano music playing in the background and they saw Scott at the bar placing two bottles of ice-cold water with finger sandwiches for them. They walked down the stairs sitting down on the stool. "Thanks, Scott; looks great." Paul commented. "You're welcome," Scott replied. "Nicholas, will you be at home tonight, by dark?" "Yes, why?" Nick asked. "The Council, Joshua and Mathews will be meeting here, I want you and the others in one safe place." Scott warned him. "Understood; thanks, Scott," Nick replied. Paul's cell phone rang, "Coletti," "Corner of Dawson; pipe-bomb," Reese told him. "On our way," Paul answered. "Pipe-bomb on Dawson," "They don't use my phone anymore; it does work." Nick mumbled. "They know about Molly," Paul told him. "Let's go," "True, sorry," Nick replied. "Come on, Dad," Paul said, grinning. They exited te Raven walking towards the car stepping in and Nick drove to the corner of Dawson Street. They saw the blue lights, yellow tape and a body bag lying on the ground, this time someone died; now it's two. Off in the distance, they saw Joe leaning up against the brick wall upset and distraught. Nick, alone, approached him standing next to him and nudged his arm. "Joe," Nick said. "I just wanted to talk to him; he called me, we planned the meet; I got here and then...BOOM." Joe briefed him. "It's Gary?" Nick inquired. Joe exhaled, terrified, "Yeah," "Damn," Nick uttered, seeing Jack close by, "Jack!" Jack ran towards him, "Yes, sir." "Take Joe to the Raven; tell Scott James, safe-house, code red." Nick instructed him to do. "Yes, sir." Jack answered. "Joe, go with Jack; you're hiding; she knows about you." Nick strongly suggested. "Nick," Joe replied, starting to decline. "Do you want to join Danny and Gary; go with Jack; Scott will protect you." Nick insisted. "Jack, take him now then return." "Yes, sir." Jack answered, escorting Joe to the cruiser and he drove him to the Raven. Nick watched them drive away; he walked towards the others standing next to Paul and looked at the gurney rolling the body away. "Nick, did he say anything?" Reese asked. "Well, the body is, Gary Boisvert; our other victim from the West Side. He called Joe, they planned a meet; he got here first then Joe arrived and boom." Nick informed him. "Damn," Paul hissed in anger. "She knows and she's hiding; she took out the two that could testify." "Remember the evidence we have now is identical to the South End; it all matches." Kathy said. "True, we now have Joe; I sent him to the safe-house with Jack." Nick reported. "I'm back, sir. Scott James said no problem." Jack told him. "Thanks, Jack," Nick said. "I'll handle Gary's home; you two disappear until tomorrow." Reese ordered. "Can you ride with Jack or Kathy; I need to see Joe and Scott before going home." Nick requested. "Sure, I'll be there later; I'll call Carla," Paul said, sighing. "Done," Nick replied, walking away. Nick ran towards his car climbing in and headed for the Raven parking at the backdoor. As Nick climbed out of his car; LaCroix pulled up parking next to him and joined him at the door. "Who's watching the girls'?" Nick asked. "Our friends; why are we here?" LaCroix inquired. "Well, Joe's here for safe-house; tell you later. The Community is here with Scott and Joshua judging Mathews, I got a call to be here." Nick told him. "Me too, let's go," LaCroix said, eagerly. They walked inside of the club seeing Scott standing at the center pole with Joshua. They approached, surrounding him, but Nick looked around for Joe; no where in sight. "Scott, where's Joe?" Nick queried. "He's upstairs, don't worry. You two shouldn't be here." Scott whispered. "I got a call to meet Nicholas here." LaCroix said. "Me too, then he called me as I was driving here." Nick added. Suddenly, silence filled the air, Mathews appeared by the stairwell and Munzo walked in from the backroom standing in the center of the club dance floor. Joshua approached, bowing slightly then he raised his arm upward and Mathews strutted over, stared directly in front of him. Munzo looked towards LaCroix, bowing his head in respect, "Lucien, my best to you ans your new addition to the family." "Thank you," LaCroix whispered. "Nicholas; you have done well keeping this mess silent." Munzo added. "No problem," Nick mumbled. "We are here because I have been informed of Philip Mathews' killing spree among the humans. You have given your word; you have broken your word not only once, but twice. You were informed of their condition that they are now forbidden to be touched; have you not?" Munzo questioned his honor. "Yes," Mathews reluctantly responded. "Philip Mathews, face me; Nicholas; Lucien, Scott escort them and yourself outside until Joshua calls for you." Munzo ordered. "Yes, sir." Scott said. Scott walked them out the backdoor waiting; Munzo handed Joshua a wooden stake an he stood behind Mathews. "Phili Mathews, you have no honor, no respect for our laws, your existence will be terminated. We have fought for too long to have creatures like yourself to endangering us; exposing us to the humans. Joshua, now." Munzo ordered, stepping away. Joshua held the wooden stake to his cold black heart, with one single thrust, he plunged it deep, penetrating his body completely through. Mathews let out a piercing scream, imploding into gray dust. As the dust settled, clearing the air, the Council had vanished and Joshua walked outside joining the others. "Well?" Nick queried. "Mathews has been destroyed; you are safe." Joshua told them, sighing. "Thank, God," LaCroix uttered. "I second that," Nick said. "Thank you, Joshua." "You're welcome; I will tend to the Raven, you go home and rest; Scott, you too." Joshua requested. "Thank you," Scott whispered. Nick walked towards his car while Scott and LaCroix climbed into his truck and they drove home to rest. They entered the loft; Jamie ran leaping into LaCroix's loving arms and Nick ran towards the bedroom, closing the door. He saw Molly sitting on the bed with a few tears in her eyes. He walked towards her removing his clothes except for his pants and kissed her passionately. She wrapped her arms around his hips kissing his stomach and she glanced up seeing his blue eyes. "What's wrong, sweetheart?" Nick asked. "I missed you," Molly replied, softly. Nick smiled, "I'm sorry; we closed one case, one more case to go then I'm here for five weeks." "I know, but..." Molly replied, pausing. "Calm down, this isn't good for you or our babies," Nick said. "What can I do to relax you?" "I want...I need..." Molly whispered. "Anytime, honey," Nick told her. "Hold me first," Molly requested. "Lie down, come on," Nick said. They laid down in bed snuggled in each other's arms and loved, comforted one another. Adult: Mark of Mathews By: Cheryl T. Pillsbury Out in the living room were Scott, Paul, Allen LaCroix and Jamie and sat down discussing the end of Mathews then how to end the other case, without Nick involved. Carla came down walking over and kissed paul. The two women waltzed into the kitchen preparing dinner while the men handled and planned the end. "They're cooking and Nick's with Molly; we need to find Maria, or whatever her name is," Paul said. "I called the South End to set her up; she quit. I had someone watching her house; no sign of her yet." "Well; she wouldn't go back to the West Side," Allen added. "She set her eyes on Nick," Paul said. "NO!!" LaCroix shouted, firmly. "No, no, no---I know that; I don't want him near this. What if we use a decoy, set her up to lore her in." Paul suggested. "But, where?" LaCroix inquired. "She knows Joe knows; what if we leaked out Nick was meeting him there, nail her ass. Move Joe as well." Allen inclined. "That would work, but how to reach her?" Paul queried. "We can leave a message on her machine for tomorrow night; that will give us the day to hide Joe, keep Nick here and close the case permanently." Allen suggested. "Thank you," LaCroix replied. "He's already on his five week leave, its baby time." Paul told him. "Let's go see Joshua while its still dark, we'll be back." "Take care," LaCroix said. "Scott, go with them, please," "All right," Scott replied, following them out. The ladies shouted that dinner was ready, LaCroix stood up, walking towards Nick's bedroom door and lightly knocked. Nick replied, 'come in,' so LaCroix entered the room seeing Molly asleep and Nick leaning on the bedpost staring at her. "Nicholas," LaCroix responded, softly. "I'm actually..." Nick began to say. LaCroix inhaled, "Scared; so was I; but then I saw Rebecca and Jamie." Nick hesitant, "I know..." LaCroix laughed, "You'll be fine; come eat while she sleeps." "All right," Nick mumbled. LaCroix pulled Nick along with him sitting down at the table and enjoyed a quiet dinner. After devouring their meal; jamie returned to Rebecca for her feeding; Carla helped LaCroix in the kitchen and Nick stumbled into the bathroom for a quick shower and changed his clothes. LaCroix waited for him outside the door; he heard the knob turning and saw Nick in his lounge pants, white t-shirt and barefoot. LaCroix handed him a cold beer walking him into the living room and they sat down on the couch to relax. "Nicholas; I left a plate for Molly in the fridge." LaCroix told him. "Thanks," Nick whispered. "What scares you?" LaCroix asked. Nick grinned, shyly, "The twins," "Why?" he questioned. Nick appeared puzzled, "Not sure," LaCroix laughed, slapping his thigh, "A true father speaking," "What about you?" Nick inquired. "I worry everyday for her safety," LaCroix confessed, painfully. "It's natural, don't worry." "Do you have your office ready for the next five weeks?" LaCroix queried. "Almost; I'm using Molly's and Paul's delivering the files this weekend." Nick told him. "Sounds like a plan," LaCroix replied. Molly had walked over to the couch leaning on the back of it, "Nick, my back," "All right," Nick replied, standing up, running to her back and began to massage the pain away. "I'll warm up her dinner and make some tea." LaCroix said. "Thanks," Nick replied. "Molly, how are you doing?" "Fine, a little lower," she told him. "Okay," Nick complied. Molly straightened up, turning around and leaned on the couch. Nick embraced her tight and gave her a loving kiss on her forehead. "Feel better?" Nick asked. "Some," Molly said, exhaling hard. "Come on, sit down," Nick requested. "Here's dinner and your tea, Jamie needs me." LaCroix said, handing him the tray. "Okay," Nick said, sitting down with Molly. Molly savored her dinner passing the plate to Nick and he placed it on the coffee table. She leaned back sipping her tea and breathed in relief. "All filled up?" Nick asked. "Almost," Molly replied, smiling, using her foot to massage him. "I can feel that," Nick told her. "Let dinner settle first, okay," "All right, but not too long," Molly inclined. The door opened with Paul entering and sat down breathing hard from exhaustion. "Where were you?" Nick queried. "Molly's my witness; you're on maternity leave; Allen and I teamed up to bring Maria down." Paul answered. "Cool, how?" Nick asked. "You're okay with it?" Paul inquired, surprised by his reaction. "I trust my partner and friends; I need and want to be here; my mind is on my family, right." Nick inclined. "So true, Bud; we're using the Raven, a few decoy's and Joshua will be there." paul briefed him. "Okay, I'm beat, I need some lovin' and sleep; in that order, later." "Night, Molly said. "Night, Bud; all files come to me now." Nick said. "Done," Paul replied, running up the stairs. Nick yawned, "Ah---time for us to love then sleep, but bathroom first." "Agreed," Molly replied. Nick stood up taking Molly with him walking towards the bathroom and took turns then entered their bedroom and lied down in each other's arms. "Nick," Molly uttered. "Hmm," Nick mumbled. "Are you asleep yet?" she inquired. "No," he said. "Can you roll towards me?" Molly requested. Nick laughed, "How's that?" She smiled, "Perfect," "Good," Nick whispered, kissing her lightly. They gently loved each other, massaging and intensefying their passion rising to their heighten ecstasy. They held one another close drifting off to sleep. Molly rolled onto her side feeling the pain in her lower back. She quickly woke Nick up and he began to massage her pain down. "All right, remember your breathing exercise," Nick told her, breathing with her. "Nick, this one really hurts," Molly replied, crying. "I know, honey; I'm here," Nick replied, inhaling. "OW!!!" Molly moaned. "Okay," Nick said, reaching over for the intercom pushing the buttom red button; LaCroix was first to enter. "Nicholas," LaCroix uttered. "Call Doc; Molly's in labor," Nick said. "Done," LaCroix replied, running for the phone. "It's fading," Molly whispered. "Nicholas," Scott shouted. "Tea with honey, please," Nick requested. "All right," Scott said, walking away. "Thanks; Molly?" Nick inquired. Molly inhaled then exhaled hard, "Gone," "Good, roll onto your back," Nick instructed her. "Someone in labor?" Doc inquired, entering the room. "Molly," Nick said. "All right, let's see if it's real or fake," Doc replied. Molly lifted, bending her legs allowing Doc to examine her and held Nick's hand. "Hmm," Doc mumbled. "Well?" Nick asked, scared. Doc smiled, "You're time has begun; you're at two now. If they continue to intensfy or her water breaks, hospital; twins are too risky for home delivery." "Nick," Molly replied, beaming. "All right, Doc," Nick said. "But isn't it still too early?" "Well, a little bit, the most would be an incubator for a few days." Doc said. "You're time is here, savor it." "We will, thank you," Nick replied. "I'll walk you out, be right back." "I'm going to rest,: Molly replied, softly. "All right," Nick said, kissing her passionately. Nick and Doc exited the bedrooms, saw everyone waiting and Doc quietly left the loft. Nick walked towards his family of friends and smiled wide. "Nicholas?" LaCroix inquired. "We're in labor; she's at two now," Nick replied, happily. "All right; you stay with her and when you need a break to do something; I'll stay with her." LaCroix suggested. "Allen, let's roll," Paul replied, cheering on the way. "Keep me posted and call Reese," Nick shouted. "Lucien," "I know...I know..." LaCroix said. "Go shower, get changed; I'll watch her." "Thanks," Nick replied, embracing him. "Go on," LaCroix said, entering the bedroom, sitting with Molly. Nick entered the bathroom taking care of his business, showered and changed into a clean set of lounge pants and t-shirt. He stepped out seeing Scott in the kitchen and Nick entered the bedroom and saw Molly sound asleep. LaCroix walked Nick out, leaving the door open and they sat down at the table. "Here's your coffee, tea's ready when she wakes up," Scott told him. "Thank you, Scott," LaCroix responded. "Nicholas, it's different when it's you directly." "I guess," Nick mumbled. "Excuse me; Nicholas, Tony's here to set up the computer and he brought some boxes with him." Scott informed him. "Good, thanks," Nick answered. "Nicholas, do everything at the same time as her, we're here to help you." LaCroix told him. "I'll need it," Nick replied. "Nick!" Molly shouted. "Go on," LaCroix inclined to him. Nick ran to Molly comforting her as Jamie left her bedroom joining LaCroix and sat down at the table. "Lucien," Jamie uttered, seeing the joyful tears. "Molly's begun her labor, she's at two at the moment," LaCroix shared the news. "Wonderful," Jamie said. Paul and Carla entered the kitchen, winded, "Sorry, we were in the shower; what happened?" "Molly's labor has begun," LaCroix told them. "Awesome, my phone is on; I'm meeting Allen to shut her down; Carla, stay here; Scott, we need you." Paul instructed. "You two care for Rebecca; I'll eat and clean up," Carla said. "Thank you, let Nick and Molly rest in. Let's go, Mom." LaCroix said. "Sure thing, Dad," Jamie replied, smiling. Jamie sat down on the bed staring at LaCroix while he peeked at Rebecca sleeping. LaCroix moved around standing in front of Jamie and she wrapped her arms around his waist. "That feels nice," LaCroix said, softly. "I have something better, it's been a few days." Jamie replied. groping him firmly. LaCroix moaned slightly, "Please, don't stop," She quickly unbuckled, unzipping his fly, pushing his pants down and massaged him hard. His breathing became erratic, out of control and moaned with every stroke she made. She tasted every inch of him, massaging his testicles; she too began to breathe heavy. She felt him collapsing as their heat of passion began to rise; she felt him pulsating, shaking and he spoke her name. She covered him pumping faster with slight force and LaCroix moaned her name as he ejaculated into the towel. LaCroix moved around falling to the bed onto his back, breathing fast and jamie laid next to him, cleaning him off and tossed the towel onto the pile of soil clothes on the floor. She crawled up to face him; he wan panting and sweaty. "You okay?" Jamie asked. LaCroix moistened his dry lips, taking a breathier, "Yes, that was..." "Needed," Jamie inclined. "Yes, but also fantastic," LaCroix said. "In three weeks, will be our special time to love." "Hmm, counting the days, I miss having you that way." Jamie said. "Me too, let's shower and help our family next door." LaCroix suggested. "Sweet, have Carla listen for Rebecca," Jamie replied, pulling him up. They stumbled into the bathroom, asking Carla to listen for the baby and they got showered and cleaned up. Adult: Mark of Mathews By: Cheryl T. Pillsbury All comments welcomed Nick woke up to Molly sitting along the edge of the bed, he reached over rubbing her back and she turned her head; he saw the tears. "What's wrong?" Nick asked. "I'm scared and anxious at the same time." Nick told him. Nick moved over sitting next to her, holding her hand, "I know I feel the sane way." "Really?" Molly inquired. "Yeah, but we have each other, our family of friends and God, if you will, we'll be fine. Let's go eat; I'm starving." Nick expressed warmly. "Bathroom first then eat," Molly suggested. Nick chuckled, "Deal," Nick helped Molly up, walking towards the bathroom as LaCroix with Jamie came out; they took turns then they showered. Jamie went to feed Rebecca while LaCroix made a fresh pit of coffee. He walked into the living room setting it up sitting down on the couch. Nick and Molly joined him as well as Jamie holding Rebecca, still feeding her. "Does anyone mind this?" Jamie inquired. "No, why?" Nick asked. "Some people feel awkward about it." Jamie answered. "We're fine," Molly replied. "Where's Paul and Scott?" Nick queried. LaCroix sighed, "Ending that case." "Finally, Joe called, he said he's going away for awhile; he'll call to check on the babies." Carla told them. "Thanks," Nick said. "Honey, take my tea, it hurts," Molly said, breathing heavy. "All right, here's my hand," Nick said, holding one hand and massaged her belly with the other. "OW," Molly said, loudly. "I need to stand up," "Okay, Lucien," Nick requested. They stood up helping Molly off the couch then she grabbed her belly yelled in pain and then the floor was wet. "Nick, my water broke," Molly shouted. "Lucien, take them now; I'll call ahead." Jamie said. "Love you, let's go," LaCroix replied, helping them out. They rode down in the elevator outside to the van and LaCroix drove them to the lower levels of St. Claire Hospital. They helped her out seeing Doc and took her into ER10 and began to prep her for delivery. Nick stood very close to her right side while LaCroix kept her forehead cool with wet towels. "Nick, ow, it burns," Molly cried. "I know, just breathe," Nick said. "Hello people, how are you doing?" Doc asked. "It burns," Molly shouted, breathing heavy. "Let's see here, open wider, oh, look; she's crowning." Doc said. "Come down here, Nick, look; see there." "Whoa," Nick whispered. "Baby B is in a rush, okay, Molly, breathe in then out, breathe in and push this baby, my assistants are ready." "Nick, ow," Molly shouted. "Come on, honey, push," Nick whispered. "Nick," Molly said, pushing, bearing down. "Good, Molly keep going, okay stop, breathe in," Doc said. "Nick," Molly whispered. "Again, Molly, come on," Doc instructed her. Molly pushed harder, moaning with pain, Nick talking to her as he watched his child being born. "Okay, stop, head's out; let's clear the air way," Doc said. "It hurts," Molly said. "I know, hold on; Nancy, your first, be ready," Doc shouted. "Okay, Molly, one big push, let's see the whole baby." Molly took in a deep breath and pushed down hard. Nick whispered loving words into her ear and moved watching his child slide into Doc's hands crying. The tears of joy flowed and Doc smiled, "It's a boy, like I knew that already." "A boy," Molly whispered. "We have a son; Lucien," Nick cried. "Wonderful," LaCroix said, all choked up. "Nancy take him; Nick do you want him circumcised?" Doc asked. "Yes," Nick answered. "We both do," "Nick, it hurts," Molly said, "but its different," "Let's see, uh-oh; it's breeched; hold on; don't push, just breathe Molly, breathe," Doc said. Doc gently reached inside turning the baby around, "Push, Molly push," "Nick," Molly cried. "Come on, honey; I'm right here," Nick told her. "Good job, Molly, stop, head's out," Doc mumbled. "Clear the air way; Judy, your next," "Nick, ow, it burns," Molly replied, holding onto him. "I'm right here, love," Nick said. "One big push, Molly, push it out, come on," Doc told her. Molly pushed as hard as she could moaning, squeezing Nick's hands and the baby slid out into Doc's hands. Molly exhaled hard and exhausted. "Well, well. We have a little girl, people," Doc replied, grinning. "We have one of each; congrads Mom and Dad. Let's finish here then I'll care for your son." "A boy and a girl; Molly; I love you so much," Nick said, crying. "Doc, the family is out here," an aide informed him. "I'll stay here; you go tell them about your children." LaCroix said. "I'll be right back; I promise," Nick said, kissing her warmly. Nick staggered out and saw all of his friends; Molly's family and Jamie with Rebecca. "Well?" Paul asked, slightly jumpy. "He's numb," Allen said. "Nick, honey; what happened? How's Molly?" Valerie asked, Molly's mother. "Uhm---Molly's fine, very tired; we have a son and a daughter." Nick proudly announced with tears. "We can we see eveyone?" Valerie inquired. "Tomorrow; they need to rest; Jamie, I'll send Lucien out," Nick said. "I need to go back in," Nick returns to Molly, "I'm back, Jamie and Rebecca are outside." "You two need to be alone; I'll see you two, or should I say; you four tomorrow. Thank you for sharing this with me." LaCroix replied, with tears. "Thank you, for your help and support," Nick said, embracing him, with every ounce of energy he could find. "You're welcome, rest, enjoy and tell us their names in the morning." LaCroix said. He exited the room as Doc walkied in and stood by Molly, "Okay your son did very well, he's resting and so is your daughter. How are the parents doing?" "Tired and thrilled," Nick said, Molly just nodded her head. "Okay, we're moving you into a private room with two beds; no touching; only hugging and kissing. Get some rest and we'll visit the children in the morning." Doc said. "Okay," Molly whispered. "Be right back," Doc said, smiling. "Molly, you were amazing," Nick told her. "So were you," Molly replied. "Are you happy?" "Ecstatic, completely content; no words could ever express." Nick replied, happily. "I love you," Molly whispered. "Hello, family; we're here to move you two," Doc said. "The babies," Molly asked. "Their lungs?" "They're fine, their resting and your son had his little surgery; doing great. Let's go, people," Doc instructed them. The sun shone high above Toronto, Nick woke up first; he showered and sat down in the chair gazing upon Molly. Suddenly, the door slowly opened with all of his friends entering, Nick stood up hugging and greeted them. "How is she?" Paul asked, softly. "She's fine," Molly whispered. Nick smiled returning to her side, "hi, you okay?" "Yes," Molly whispered. The door slowly opened with a nurse rolling a lear bassinet in with the twins lying side by side, snuggled close and sleeping. Nick stood over his children in astonishment, his longing for a family of his own, is here and it's real. Their son woke first, Nick cradled him kissing his tiny fingers and placed him into Molly's arms for his feeding. He then lifted his daughter, gazing upon her with tears. LaCroix approached with Jamie holding Rebecca. "Amazing, LaCroix said. Nick took a breath, "Lucien, it's..." "Yes it is," LaCroix smiled, "it's real, son, it's very real." "Mr. Knight, Doc will be here in a few moments to take their names, and he has their measurements for you." The nurse told him. "Thank you," Nick whispered. Paul moved closer, "A fast note, case closed, she went down permanently and Joshua saved the day." "Good, tell me later," Nick smiled with a laugh. "Not in front of the children." "Spoken like a true father," Allen replied. "We are all so thrilled for you and Molly." Paul said. "Okay, troops, let's stand over there until he announces the names." Allen suggested. LaCroix with Jamie and Rebecca; Nick, with his daughter moved over towards Molly and smiled. "How are you doing?" Nick inquired. "Like his father, he's starving," Molly said. "Oh, he's done, let's trade." "Lucien, hold her," Nick requested. "Anytime," LaCroix replied, eagerly. Nick took his son while LaCroix placed her into Molly's arms to be fed. Jamie sat down in the chair feeding Rebecca. Doc walked in standing in front of them and smiled. "So much has happened in the past six years; humanity, weddings, babies, etc., and you are proof that second chances are a true possibilities." Doc said. "So true," Nick whispered with tears. "All right, its time to name the children," Doc informed them. "Nicholas, you have your son, it's tradition for the father to name his first born son." Nick smiled, tears rolling down his cheek, "I never thought I would be standing here being human, a beautiful wife and children of my own, it's numbing. Molly and I discussed this earlier and we have decided on the following; our son's name is Caden Andrew; after Molly's father; our daughter's name shall be Cassandra Marie; after my mother." "Beautiful names Nicholas; Molly; may they honor their names with love, honor and respect." Doc told them, leaving them to enjoy their joys of life. LaCroix walked towards Nicholas, wiping a tear away, smiling, "Nicholas, you are right; I agree; I too, never thought I would be here with the same blessings, but we are and may we love, honor and respect them and God as well." "Yes, father," Nicholas whispered, moving towards Molly, "You all right?" "Yes, I'm fine, I'm great and it's his turn for a quick feeding before they sleep." she said. They switched the babies around, Nick held his daughter's delicate hand, kissing each finger and whispered loving words to her. They gathered around sharing the blessings and joy they received from the births of their children. Two elder vampires, to humans, two wives and three children between them; amazing.
