Girls Night Out by StormyNite Send all comments to nitewind@www.plantnet.com Natalie sat at the table slowly drinking a glass of white wine looking around the bar as she waited for Grace to show up. *I can't believe I let myself get talked into this. I have a thousand things yet to do tonight, but as Grace said the Women in Criminology Convention didn't get to Toronto very often. It was amazing just how many women played important roles in crime prevention. She had met lawyers, FBI agents, cops, pathologists, civil servants, private investigators and all of them seemed happy at what they were doing. This was Grace's third time in coming to the convention and she said almost all the woman ended up at a place like the "Oz" at the end of the day. So where was she?* "Meet me at 10:00p.m.Natalie!" Grace said. Well, it was now 10:10 p.m., and no Grace. Natalie continued to peruse the room full of woman as they drank and chatted among themselves. What was so special about the "Oz" anyway that all these women would sit and wait for hours. Men where not allowed in till after midnight when the floor show was completed. Grace said the "Oz" had a different floor show every night. What was so special about tonight? Natalie noticed a pretty redhead setting at a table alone on the other side of the floor. She looked familiar in some way. Now she remembered, she was the FBI agents that gave the lecture on on-site forensic techniques. She was incredibly articulate, a doctor, a pathologist, and a FBI agent for 5 years. Someone told her she worked only the strange and bizarre cases. Wonder what she would think about vampires?* Since Grace was late again Natalie decided to go visit with the young redhead FBI agent. Natalie began winding her way across the room. "Hi! I'm Natalie Lambert for Toronto's Coroner's office." Nat sat her wine glass down next to Scully's and offered her hand to the young woman. "Dana Scully! It's nice to meet you. Do you want to sit?" Dana motioned for Natalie to sit down next to her. "I'd love to. My friend is a little late this evening and I heard your lecture this afternoon and I wanted to express my appreciation for some of the helpful hints you gave. It seems like every case I work on gets more bizarre than the last. It must come from working the night shift." Dana smiled. "I feel that every case we work on gets more bizarre than the last, but I have to admit my partner has a different view about everything he looks at, and it seems to be rubbing off on me. Nothing seems impossible or unlikely anymore. It sort of changes your prospective on life. What do you know about the floor show for tonight? I was told by a friend to be here by 10 to get us a couple of seats. Needless to say, she is late and I don't know what to expect. How about you?" "Same for me! This is my first time coming to the convention and a friend told me to meet her here and she is late as usual. Oh, there she is-" Natalie waved at Grace across the room until she caught her eye. She and the lithe blonde dressed in a very short skirt suit came around the room to grab a seat with Dana and Natalie. Grace was all smiles as she pulled out two chairs and made the introductions. "Nat, this is Alex Cahill for Dallas. She is with the district attorneys office." Alex shook hands with Natalie and turned to Dana. " I see you two have already met. Grace this is Dana Scully with the FBI. This is her first time at the convention as well as Natalie's. You guys are in for a real treat tonight." Alex's big blue eyes sparkled with enthusiasm. "Can I order you two another drink?" She motioned to Dana and Natalie's almost empty glasses. Nat viewed her glass skeptically. "I usually don't drink more than one but since I came in a cab, I guess it won't hurt." Dana turned to Alex. "Your drive or we take a cab as well. I can't afford any DUI's if you catch my drift." "Done!" Alex order a round and the women began to take turns in ordering. By the time the floor show started, they were feeling no pain as well as the rest of the 500 women in the room. Finally the show began. ------------------------ Tracy and Nick sat at there desk finishing the evening paperwork. Tracy was thrilled just to have Nick sitting across from her doing his share of the mundane stuff for a switch. Nick looked up at Tracy watching her smile as she completed the form and started humming a tune. "Did I miss something her. Are you happy to be doing paperwork?" Tracy stopped, placed her pen on the new form she had just started and turned her undivided attention to Nick with that perky little smile that lit her whole face. "I'm just excited to have company for a change doing this boring stuff. It is so rare that you don't get called away, dragged off for something personal, or just manage to finagle a lecture by the Captain that conveniently gets you out of all this stuff. It almost makes it worthwhile missing the convention to see you this miserable!" She let out a satisfied sigh and propped her head in her hands with her elbows on the desk, when Nick's cell phone rang. Nick smiled causing his eyes to twinkle bluer as if he planned it all along and answered the phone. "Knight!" "Nick, this is John Sinclair down here in lock up. I think you had better get down here. There's a friend here in need of your help or she is going to spend the night in jail." "What friend, John?" "Just get down her, Nick!" A loud click ended the phone message as Nick stared bewildered at the phone. Tracy rolled her eyes as Nick looked at her apologetically. "Who do you think you kidding! You planned this all along didn't you Nick? "Trace really! It was John down in lockup. He says there's a problem down there I need to handle." "Right! Sure! And pigs can fly too!" She put her pen back to the paper and waved him out of the room. "Just remember, I am not doing your arrest report tonight no matter who is locked up down there! Got that Nick?" Nick smiled as he grabbed his coat and headed for the door. "Got it Tracy!" ---------------------------- Nick breezed into holding to find all the cells filled with women in suits and professional attire. All four cells seemed packed to the maximum as the women broke out into dirty songs swaying back and forth. Obviously , the whole crowd was completely bombed out of their gourds. He smiled as he watched their antics for a few moments, remembering the days when he was so inebriated he didn't care what anyone thought. A part of him missed it, yet he still could remember the hangovers. He was never sure that the price for that kind of fun was not to heavy. Nick saw John on the far side of the room and wandered over listening to the women sing louder and dirty songs as they progressed. "Looks like they had a good time." "They had more than a good time, Nick. They tore up the bar called the "Oz" over on 5th. You know the one I'm talking about? These are all professional woman. Ever time we get a convention like this it's always the straight ones that go bananas on us. It all started apparently when one of the performers refused to give up certain pieces of his outfit and a fight broke out. So we are holding them until they sober up and pay the damages." "Who started it? Do you know?" "Oh, yeah! She is over her with her friends. I thought maybe you would want to talk with her." John could barely keep from giggling out loud as he took Nick to the far cell. As Nick passed the other cells, the woman kept calling out lewd comments about "nice buns", "worthwhile material", "definite potential" and "I'm yours for the asking blue eyes", till he reached cell four. Three women stood in the back of the cell obscured from Nick's view singing loudly and swaying arm in arm back in forth. "Back up ladies." John ordered as he got to the cell causing them to clear and area until Nick finally saw the petite brunette in the middle of the three women belting out a dirty rendition of Santa and his perverted reindeer. John no longer able to restrain himself after seeing Nick's face, burst in to gut wrenching laughter. Nick took his eyes of Natalie and her two friend long enough to get John to stop laughing and get the keys for the cell. "Sorry, Nick! I just have never seen the Doc that drunk before. Matter of fact, I haven't seen anybody that drunk in a long time. I couldn't wait to see your face. Man is was worth a million bucks." "What where they fighting over, John?" "Beats me Nick. She wouldn't give it to the guard. She shoved it down her blouse and the whole group took up a defense perimeter around her. We're not stupid down here. Ain't no way we are taking on 300 drunken women. Let alone this group. Hell! Part of them are even cops. The blonde over there is the Assistant District Attorney in Dallas, the red head is an FBI agent and they group over by the wall are all cops." "Open the door John." "Dr. Lambert. Your ride is here!" John yelled into the cell. Natalie turned from her friends as saw Nick standing on the other side of the bars with a grim look on his face. Alex and Dana turned immediately to look Nick over. They stood protectively by Natalie who stood staring speechless at Nick. Deciding that the best approach was just to confront Nick and get it over with, she started toward the entrance of the cell. Tripping on some unseen object on the floor Natalie stumbled and started to fall. Nick was at her side instantly as she started to giggle into his shoulder. Nick pulled her to her feet as the whole cell broke out into laughter. "Better watch the first step, Nat." Dana mumbled in her best speech considering the amount of alcohol she had consumed. She grabbed Nat's other arm in an effort to help steady her but seemed to be falling over herself. Nick hauled Natalie to his side steadying her while he managed to keep Dana from falling into the remaining crowd of women. Dana turned to face him. "You were righ---t Naaaattt. He does have the bluuuuisst eyes I have ever seen." Nick tried to steady both women while he looked Nat over for any physical damage. Seeing no damage he maneuvered Nat out of the cell while she continued to giggle at Dana and Nick. Pulling Nat upright till she met his eyes, she hiccuped into his face and started to melt into his arms. "You have great biceps, Nick! Did I ever tell you that? Good buns too?" She turned her head around to view Nick's posterior. "Nat your are completely bombed!" Nick said incredulously. John continued to snicker. "Yup! Yup! You betcha blue eyes. And it's all your fault! If they dancer hadn't reminded me of you then none of this would have happened. "My fault? You have got to be kidding!" Nick held Nat steady as she started to topple over again. Each time he released her, she started weaving until he finally put one around her waist and one under her knees and picked her up. "No you don't buster!" Nat started poking her finger into his iron shoulder which caused an immediate reaction. "Ouch!" She poked him again with her fist closed now. "You can't take me away from my friends. We'------re the threeeeeee musketeers. All for one and one for all!" Natalie began to giggle again until Nick broke out into laughter at her antics. "You mean I have to take three drunken women home instead of one to get you out of here?" Natalie hiccuped again and started giggling as she placed the palm of her hand on Nick's cheek while he stood holding her in his arms. "Yup! Yup! Yup! You gottt thatt right blue eyes. Three or zip! Which will it be?" She looked into his smiling face and hiccuped again. "You win Nat! John, can you release the other two in my custody as well. I will take them home and sober them up and get to the bottom of this." "No problem Nick, but I think your going to need help in getting them to the car. I will volunteer if I get to carry the blonde." Dana wobbled to the front of the cell. "Hey! What's wrong with redheads anyway. Too much fire for ya big boy!" Dana flipped her hair back provocatively and smiled with big blue eyes and then hiccuped loudly which brought laughter from the rest of the women in the cell. Alex grabbed Dana by the shoulder and started for the cell door. "Come on Dana, we can walk on our own out of here. We don't need some big strong man to hold us up." The two started for the open door weaving horribly until the reached the opening. "Wow! That was a long trip." Alex grabbed the cell door for support. Alex grabbed John's arm as she and Dana weaved out of the cell. "You know Johnny Boy I-I-I only let one man carry me anywhere and he is a Texas Ranger with a nasty kick when he is provoked. If I-I let you—let youuuu help me and Dana out to blue eyes' car there you wouldn't do anything that would get Walker provoked would you?" She hiccuped and fell sideways into Johns' waiting arms pulling Dana along with her. "No way Ms. Cahill!" He smiled as he pulled her up and stood her on her feet again. "Hey what-what about me!" whined Dana in a heap on the floor. Nick sat Natalie's feet back to the floor and leaned over and picked Dana as well. Placing one arm around each one of the women's waist he helped guide them out the door with John following behind with Alex. Reaching his car. Nick put Alex and Dana in the back seat and Natalie in the front beside him. Nick was beginning to wonder if three drunk women was more than he could handle. "I don't envy you Nick. They are all going to be a mess in the morning and pay dearly for The Girls Night Out and YOU are going to take the worst of it. I think I would have my fun while it lasted and split before morning if I were you. " John laughed and slammed the door to the Caddie earning a scowl from Nick. "Good Luck Nick. You are going to need it." Nick drove off to the loft. "Kewl car Blue Eyes. Yup! Yup! Nat I think he was worth the brawwwl all righttt." Alex kept slurring her words trying to keep her eyes in focus as she stared at Nick while he drove. Nick felt like a piece of meat being examined at the meat market while Alex and Dana both eyed him closely. Well at least as close as they could in their inebriated state. "Yup! Nattttt He's going to luck realllllllly goooddd in that outfit. You still got it right?" Alex questioned Nat with uncertain eyes. Natalie patted her chest and smiled followed by more hiccups and giggles. "You betcha! And I think he should have to model them too. Don't you think?" Nick turned to Natalie as she scooted close to him and ran her hand down his thigh provocatively. Slowly a frown crossed her face and her lower lip pouted until Nick broke out into laughter at her antics. "What's so funny Nick? You think I look needy too?" "Needy Natalie? Needy for what?" Nick looked concerned when he saw a tear slip from her eye. "Now see what you did Nicckkk! You made her cry!" Dana put a consoling arm on Nat shoulder over the back seat. "Men, they are soooo insensitive." Natalie buried her head in Nick's shoulder as he drove and she kept mumbling about being really needy. Dana and Alex got quiet in the back seat and fell asleep before Nick reached the loft. Natalie was asleep on his shoulder as he open the garage door. Now what was he going to do with three drunk women until tomorrow. Better yet what was he going to do with them when they woke up with the hangovers he knew they were all going to possess. Maybe John was right, he should put them to bed and leave till tomorrow night. He wasn't sure he even wanted to know what caused Nat to get in this state, because she never drank more than one glass a wine--at least as long as he had known her. Something must have happened to cause her to change her mind and what ever it was it involved him. That usually meant trouble, no matter what the circumstances. Nick carried Alex and Dana a put them in his bed upstairs and put Natalie on the couch by the fire. Dana and Alex never woke up, but Natalie being the night person awoke as soon as he lit the fire. "Nick?" She slowly set up on the couch trying to orient herself to the room and the fire. Nick came to her side quickly and pulled the blanket up around her shoulder as he balanced on his knees in front of her on the couch. She stared into his beautiful blue eyes and ran her fingers gently down his cheek. Nick didn't pull away only continued to stare at her lovely face. "Do I look needy to you?" "Nat! What are you talking about?" He said in a soft voice. "The dancer said I looked in need and he could fix it for me. Do I look needy to you?" She swayed slightly as Nick reached up to keep her from falling over. A single tear slipped from her eye as she hiccuped one more time. Nick got off his knees, pulled her into his arms and sat back down on the couch with Natalie firmly ensconced in his arms wrapped in a blanket. "In need of what Natalie? What did he say you where in need of?" He gently rubbed her shoulders and made her look at him. "He-He said I was in dire need of more male attention. Do I look like I need more male attention?" Natalie was disturbed by the dancer's comment. She had taken him seriously and it hurt her. Nick smiled at her assumption in her current condition to a harmless comment. "He made a pass at you. Is that what started this whole thing?" Nick consoled her gently while he tried to make her take a rational look at the incident. "No! No! No! He told me he could take care of all my needs and I told him the only thing I needed was his costume so I could have YOU take care of my needs. He wouldn't give it to me soooo.........I took it off him and that's when the fight broke out." Natalie buried her head in Nick's shoulder in embarrassment. "I didn't mean for everyone else to get involved. He just reminded me of you with his blonde hair and blue eyes and I began to wonder what you would look like in that costume and then he got pushy. I just hate pushy guys,--Sooo--- I ripped it off him." She smiled like at cat who had swallowed a canary and then planted a kiss softly on his lips. "I kept it for you. I wouldn't let that mean old guard take it from me either. It was mine and now I give it to you if you promise to wear it for me." She looked into his eyes awaiting him to agree before she gave it to him. Nick's curiosity was peeked. He would have agreed to go to the moon to see this outfit that Natalie had so valiantly fought to save for him. "Let me see it Nat." "Not until you agree to model it for me. Agreed?" "Okay! I will model it for you. Now show it to me." Natalie reached inside her bra and removed a leopard striped G-String with a very large cup. Nick stared at the little costume and the realization of what he committed to hit him. His mouth dropped open. "Nat you were at a male strip joint?" He met her eyes as they danced with merriment. "You got it buster and you just agreed to model them for me!" She hiccuped again and started giggling realizing even her present state how uncomfortable Nick was. "Nat! Your kidding right? You started a bar fight over a g-string because you wanted to see me in it?" Natalie leaned over and kissed him passionately until he finally gave in and kissed her back. The fire was lit and so were their emotions. As he deepened the kiss, he let his hands roam her body as she relaxed into his embrace. Both breathing hard, Natalie broke the kiss and dangled the g-string in front of Nick. "A deal's a deal!" She smiled and handed it to him. Anxious to explore this current of emotion passing between them and the lack of the appearance of the vampire within him, Nick quickly sat her back on the couch and disappeared into the bathroom to change. If Natalie wanted him in a g-string then he would comply. At least as long as he had control of the beast within. When he returned, Natalie sat cuddled under the blanket sound asleep. With a sigh of regret and hope in his heart he crawled under the cover and pulled her into his arms and they slept. The end Okay! I admit it. I went to a male strip bar. Had a great time with the girls and that leopard g-string just called for this story. The guy was blonde and blue eyed but not nearly Ger's quality. I just love fantasy!!! Don't you?
